I was wondering. Will CC3 have the necessary bones for attaching facial hair to follow the mouth and jaw.

Thanks

Ok, so I can export my character to iclone 7 to animate, then I can re export for character creator to then re export for my game? or can I just export right from iclone?

Thanks for your Answers.

You will be able to transfer characters freely between iClone 7.3 and Character Creator 3. If you are using Character Creator 3 Pipeline then you will be able to export characters directly without requiring any other software. However CC3 Pipeline only exports the character itself it doesn't export animations. So if you wish to export the animations, then you will need to use iClone 7 and 3DXchange 7 Pipeline for this purpose.

Note: If you use Character Creator 3 For iClone (the FREE version), then you will need 3DXchange 7 Pipeline to be able to export your characters.

Will Iclone7 be updated to handle Character Creator 3 upon its release. Or will we not be able to transfer our characters from CC3 to Iclone7 for awhile while we wait for Iclone7 to update? I know IRAY won't work until Q4 in Iclone7 but I'm talking just about the updated Characters.

iClone 7 will be updated at the same time (or possibly earlier) to version 7.3 which will make it fully compatible with avatars created in Character Creator 3. :)

Quick question, what are the benefits of purchasing CC3 for character designers who do bespoke work for other people, if they can't sell characters to individuals?  Most people who hire for a new character want exclusitivity so selling on the Reallusion marketplace isn't an option.

Character Creator 3 will allow you to create unlimited characters for use in movies, training videos, games, applications etc. and you can even sell the custom characters you create in our stores. However if you are looking to design and sell the character models directly to customers outside of our stores, then unfortunately CC3 won't be the product for you.

You have to remember that in CC3 you are not creating characters from scratch but are building characters using Reallusion's base character mesh and rig. If you want 100% control over the characters you create, then you need to do so  using something like 3DS Max or Maya to build your character from the ground up with your own custom mesh and rig.

Putting a slight twist on this...

Assuming the "customer" owns iClone and the base character...
In that case Tapticc would be charging for his labor to work on the customer's character.  He is not actually selling the character.  So that scenario would be okay, correct?

iClone 7... Character Creator... Substance Designer/Painter... Blender... Audacity...
Desktop (homebuilt) - Windows 10, Ryzen 9 3900x CPU, GTX 1080 GPU (8GB), 32GB RAM, Asus X570 Pro motherboard, 2TB SSD, terabytes of disk space, dual  monitors.
Laptop - Windows 10, MSI GS63VR STEALTH-252, 16GB RAM, GTX 1060 (6GB), 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD

Providing the customer has purchased all the same content used with the character such as clothing and accessories then you could charge for the labor. That wouldn't be an issue.

If the release date is that close... surely the animation rendering capabilities of iRay in iClone are working well enough to demonstrate.  There are many of us that can still taste the bitter disappointment of Indigo's implementation.  For the record, I think the Indigo renderer is actually very good... but the integration with iC - which is RL's contribution - was barely useful for an 'animation' software.

as a DAZ Studio user since 2014, iRay is horrible with animation. it’s so unoptimized that the general user will just give up and use an alternative renderer (Reality, Octane, UE4, Keyshot).
