It's the same one, but it's repacked to make it perfect fit for CC3 Base. Everyone who's owned this pack can get it for free. 

I think one of the questions being raised a lot in that other thread is getting lost -- is the "Essentials" pack different for CC3, or do those of us who already own the pack (for CC2) don't need to buy?  This is pretty critical -- as Dennis points out, the pack itself contains morphs that are used in CC, so we need to know if a rebuy is in order to take advantage of the sale price.
