Cricky, Since the IC4 Resource Pack was the only one that I hadn't re-installed I went ahead and did it anyway. This seems to have solved at least one problem. Still more testing to do though - don't you just love Public Betas.:)

There's always going to be issues of different kinds when animation is involved...getting mad won't get it fixed, so I just exercise patience which I'm not the best at, I'll admit. Eventually, as others have said, it will get ironed out. I'm sure there was a BETA consensus of things that didn't work listed and fixes applied with the time allowed; it just can't cover all configurations out there...

As I mentioned previously somewhere, there is a problem with illumination of eyes. I thought this just applied to my custom eyes, but in fact it also applies to Reallusion eyes. :crying: I'm not clear about what is going on, but it almost seems that eyes respond only to ambient illumination. This video shows a gradient IBL applied to a toon-textured model, with black ambient light. Self-illumination has been set to 50%. There is very little to be gained by changing the Brightness levels of pupils and whites on these Reallusion eyes--they only get slightly brighter. The purpose of this posting is to ask for a bugfix. This is definitely the bugfix that right now I would LOVE to see fixed! However, note in passing that the video also hints at a complete toon solution: new and improved, now with toon shadows ! ! ! :w00t:

thompsongeoff (10/10/2009) The trial mark continues to effect the way I work. IClone is installed on my laptop so that I can use it when I'm not at home and connected to the internet. Use of “trial” items when not connected to the internet result in a watermark. Not good for content I have previously paid for and installed on my computer.Sadly an internet connection is required the first time you use content. It only has to be done once, but it is required. All I can suggest is activate all the content you use the most, and those items that are required for your current project while you have an internet connection. Then you can work better while on the move without it.

I cannot load any G3 Clonecloth Violet avatar. I get a dialog that says 'Failed to load the file. If this is a .vns file please switch to the avatar page and try again'. The G3 Clonecloth pack was installed fresh from the .EXE and not copied over from an iClone 3 installation. It installed successfully and reported itself as being 'installed successfully into your iClone'. The G3 male clonecloth pack was installed in exactly the same way, and those avatars load OK. As a clue, there are no thumbnails for the Violet avatars, whereas there are thumbnails for the Trey avatars.

If I tried again, these projects would load.

Did you try loading more than once? I have seen similar behavior when loading projects. If I tried again, these projects would load. I just tried that and it did not work. Please note that this is not a project I am trying to load. I am trying to load a G3 Clonecloth avatar into an empty project directly from the avatar page. It also does not work if I try to use the 'import' button and navigate to the .iAvatar file directly. NOTE - It's a pain, but if I load up iClone3, load the G3 character, and then save it out again, I can import that saved avatar into iClone4 fine. The .iAvatar files I save end up being about 2 MB larger than the original .iAvatar file I loaded from. MORE: If I look in the iClone3 template folders for the Violet .iAvatar files and compare it to the iClone4 template folder, all of the files in the iClone3 folder are about 2 MB bigger than the ones that got installed into iClone4. After dragging a copy of all of them from the iClone3 templates folder into the iClone4 templates folder, they now all load fine (aside from being marked as trial content until they are all loaded once).

Not a new one but just to keep it simmering on a back burner......
Just a time issue is all. I can flick to full screen and get evrything but in large scenes it takes time to redraw over and over. I have NO idea how you would make the menu sit predominantly forefront regardless of the scene window.

depth of field doesn't seem to be working correctly for me. a scene with 1 char , 6 props hd effects and 2 particle effects is taking me roughly 8 seconds per image to rend. It's locking up my system very badly overall. 1.5 hours to render 20 seconds of avi 640 x 480 uncompressed..

Loading an iC3 spring file (.spx) does not seem to be properly supported in iC4 and result in exaggerated bounciness, i.e. very bad dynamics? Peter, can you comment on this? Should iC3 .spx procure the same result in iC4 or do we need to completely redo all of them to make them compatible with the new set of parameters??? Is this a know issue? Thanks.
