Hi Vidi, Thanks for looking into my strange messages, but I was not using CT script in those projects (in fact I have never used it).

I expect Reallusion to admit that this is what we know it to be and to issue a public apology to the community I'm personally really sure it is from CT script file and is not a bad joke from the developer :) ”Shrink Nose”!

I got another strange message… ”Shrink Nose”! This message is more of an insult to the actors than to me, and when I clicked OK, the message disappeared and I could continue working. Once again, our friend Pinhead was in the scene and I had just converted a directional light to a spotlight. Perhaps it was Pinhead complaining that the new lighting makes his nose appear large? I wonder if there are any other ‘body part’ messages that we should know about? Lol

It's probably a Chinese expression lost in translation... Frankly, I rather have Reallusion putting their energy in new development and fixing bugs than chasing obscure error messages. And if you have not personally seen the message, I fail to see the reason to get so upset about it, even demanding a public apology. And, in case you wonder, I am a principal systems analyst working for very serious firm. No funny messages at our place...

Hi Peter, As the error is extremely rare, there is really nothing to resolve for me. In fact I tried to repeat the steps that I think lead up to the cheeky message, but no luck. Unless there is a log file that may be of use to the developers (in which case they can contact me if they want it) I don’t have any more information to offer.

tscott (3/29/2011) This isn't creativity and it is certainly not professional. It should never happen. Period. I've been a professional programmer for about 23 years now with several top notch firms and this was never acceptable. As for Bally Technologies, our code is submitted to regulators and scrutinized by 3rd parties. You just can't have this sort of thing in there. And Reallusion releases their product for commercial consumption and I'm sure they would agree that they don't want this kind of amateurish, high-school, hacker prank mentality in their released product. Although I've yet to hear a response to my complaint or an apology so maybe I'm wrong there.Hi.. Have you actually experienced this error message yourself? I ask because this is not a common error message and I would think hope that the vast majority of iClone users will have never seen this error message. I will investigate this further and hopefully any last traces of this message can be removed. No, I heaven't received it myself, but the fact that it's there and users have seen it is a big disappointment.

3DStory (3/29/2011) Hi Peter,
Thanks for confirming that I am not crazy and seeing things…
I already have the latest version of iClone, 4.31.2517, and that’s the version that I experienced the cheeky message. BTW, this is not the first time that I have seen the error. I am pretty sure that I saw it when I first started out with iClone about a year ago. I didn’t report it then as I was newer than new and wasn’t sure if it was some kind of code for an avatar error lookup table ;)
Anyway, if you search your current code base you are sure to find it. Rather than just changing the message perhaps Reallusion could aim for some better error handling? The best error handling I have seen to date is Adobe After Effects (AE CS5). When AE crashes, it actually saves your current project before exiting!
Hi.. Thanks for updating on this issue. While I agree the code may still be there, I have personally not seen this error message occur since back in the early testing days. I 'am surprised and sorry to hear that you have received this message on more than one occasion. Please could you contact Reallusion Technical Support using the link below. They will have more knowledge on what could be causing this error to appear and offer ways to resolve it. http://www.reallusion.com/CustomerSupport/User/QForm.aspx Thanks
