I solved the problem with sound, but the playback in editing mode is still herky-jerky and when I export, the sound is not in synch. Any ideas? Thanks.

I think I may have found an issue with rotation. Please forgive me if this has already been reported; I did a search of the forum and found nothing about it.

This happens with 3D Blocks and only when rotating around the Y axis.

Hi Ron..

Thanks for your feedback on the rotation issue. You are right that iClone will change the input for certain transform settings but it should be remembered that both sets of figures are exactly the same positioning in iClone.

For example typing in 0, 240, 0 is the same as 180, 300, 180. So although you may see the numbers change in the transform box the positioning of the object should remain the same and your animation should remain unaffected.

Is this your experience so far?

Thanks for your feedback on the rotation issue.

You're welcome, Peter. Take a look at the images I've linked to below (scroll to the right in the images to see what I've circled in the Modify Panel).

Here are the steps I took to get these results:
- frame 10, Y rotation: 30
- frame 20, Y rotation: 60
- frame 30, Y rotation: 90
- frame 40, Y rotation: 120

As soon as I clicked on frame 50, the Y rotation for frame 40 changed to 60. At the same time, the rotation values for X and Z in frame 40 spontaneously changed to 180. You can see from the snapshots of frames 20 and 40 that there is a world of difference in the positions of the 3D block.

I urge you to try this for yourself.

I'm not sure if you're saying that iClone has redefined the circle or if we're talking apples and oranges. Perhaps you mean that a symmetrical object LOOKS as if it's in the same orientation if it's at 0 or 180 degrees, but the same doesn't apply for the same object between 240 and 300.

Hi there..... anybody else having problem making purchases from the Iclone content store since yesterday? I keep getting this message over and over after I place an item in the shopping cart and then try to proceed to checkout:

"An error has occurred

We are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again later."

Is this just me? Thanks - Tod

Hi Ron,

Thanks for explaining more.

My point was that if you continue to add 30 degrees at each 10 frame interval until you complete a full circle - your animation will still be correct even though the numbers will have changed to reflect the way iClone is handling them.

Try doing this with an avatar or a clearly marked prop.

Frame 10 -  0.30.0
Frame 20 -  0.60.0
Frame 30 -  0.90.0
Frame 40 -  0.120.0 (changes to 180.60.180)
Frame 50 -  0.150.0 (changes to 180.30.180)
Frame 60 -  0.180.0 (changes to 180.00.180)
Frame 70 -  0.210.0 (changes to 180.330.180)
Frame 80 -  0.240.0 (changes to 180.300.180)
Frame 90 -  0.270.0
Frame 100 - 0.300.0
Frame 110 - 0.330.0
Frame 120 - 0.360.0

Once completed and you press Play your avatar or prop will make a complete rotation and even though the numbers between frame 40 and 80 have flipped, the animation will still play correctly.

Give it a try and see how you get on. :)

Hi Tod,

Apologies for the problems purchasing content today. There is currently an ongoing issue that is affecting the checkout of orders. This is being investigated and normal service should be resumed very soon now.

Frame 40 - 0.120.0(changes to 180.60.180)
Frame 50 - 0.150.0(changes to 180.30.180)
Frame 60 - 0.180.0(changes to 180.00.180)
Frame 70 - 0.210.0(changes to 180.330.180)
Frame 80 - 0.240.0(changes to 180.300.180)

So it IS a bug!

Okay, well as long as you guys know about it and are working toward a fix, that's all that matters.

Thanks, Peter!
