I have the latest CC4 and IC8. CC4 was upgraded from the pipeline version of CC3. But the 'Send to IClone' button is greyed-out. Any explanations? Thanks.

Do you have a character selected in CC4?

Thanks Peter. That was it. First 'contact' confusion with new software. Sorry about that.

I have to revisit this question here. Maybe someone has an idea.
I also have the latest version of CC4 and also of IC8.
No matter what I do or try the button "Send to iClone" remains gray in CC4.
I have tried different characters (CC, CC3, CC3+ as well as imported from DAZ).
Yes, I have also made sure that the characters are selected.
Other exports (USD, OBJ, FBX) are displayed normally and work as well.
I would be grateful if one of you has a hint for me.
Thanks in advanced

Hi PandaFriend

iClone 8.02 and Character Creator 4.02 have been released today. Please update your software and then try again to see if the issue remains.

If it does, please try opening iClone 8 first and then open Character Creator 4. Does the "Send To iClone " button become active then in CC4?

Hi Peter,
thank you for your quick reply.
The update to the new release is a good idea, but now I strangely have a new problem.
I can't update because "Reallusion Hub" tells me that IC8 or CC4 are supposedly not installed. (see pic)
When I first installed IC or CC, there were no problems and I can work normally (except for the problem I mentioned here before).
Maybe I should mention that I installed IC and CC on drive D: (D:\Program Files\Reallusion\iClone 8\) and not on standard C:
I also still have IC7 and CC3 installed and active, could this also be related?
As I said before I can work with IC8 and CC4 without any restrictions, the only prob is the "send to iClone" in CC4.

BTW, no matter if I open IC8 or CC4 first, the button "send to iclone" always stays gray.

Problem solved

Hello Peter,
first of all thank you very much for your efforts.
I have been able to solve the problem, but I cannot explain the cause.
By chance I noticed that IC8 and CC4 can not be started from RL-Hub (see picture). Since RL-Hub was open anyway, I wanted to continue with IC8, but it does not start. But I could start IC7 and CC3 directly from RL-Hub.
For me a sign that somewhere the link between RL-Hub and IC8 in the system does not work.
For comparison I looked at the registry entries for IC7 and compared them with IC8. Error found. All path entries to IC8 and CC4 were set wrong. The entered path entries did not match the installation paths. Although I specified the path explicitly during the first installation.
After adjusting the correct path information the button "send to iclone" works again as it should and I could also update to IC8.02 and CC4.02.
Unfortunately I can not understand the cause of the problem. But since I started with IC and CC (since IC5) I always installed it on drive D: and not in the default drive and never had problems with it.
