Problem Converting Non-Genesis Daz Characters to iClone

Is anyone else having issues trying to convert non-genesis characters with facial animation/morphs to iClone? To be clear, I'm talking about non-genesis characters like the older 3D Universe toons and characters like Klank that have facial morphs. I've converted I don't know how many figures in the past.

The process was simple go into the timeline, add the facial morphs on the timeline and then export. Make sure you have morphs ticked along with the figures and animation on the FBX export options and have the "Final Anything Bake" morph export. Then in 3D Xchange once you map all the bones you have the expression morphs there at your disposal to make your own visme's. I've tried just about anything and I cannot get the morphs into 3dXchange. They simple don't show up.

All the bones are fine, I can map the jawbone and eyes NP. But no morphs. I even tried this with Klank following Warlords ancient tutorial from 1984 (sarcasm) but that didn't work either. I converted Klank years ago so I'm not sure if I'm just newly doing something wrong or if something has changed. Any ideas from you fine folks out there?  Here's a screenshot of my export I tried both 2011 and 2012 binary and neither works. I'm at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated. So you're saying "Klank" has the visemes?  I can look at it (maybe not tonight, though - if no one else helps you I can look at it tomorrow).

I know the basic process still works, though.  I converted the Daz Dragon using it only a few weeks ago (I was actually redoing it, because I now have a better way to map the bones so I can use the regular motion files on it as a biped).  Maybe Klank is different but I'll take a look (again, if no one else jumps in here, like perhaps Rampa).

Okay, I couldn't stand it -- before I have alcohol I decided to look at Klank.

I could NOT see any morphs in him to export.  Certainly not any viseme morphs the way the Daz Dragon or Cat or Horse or Dog have them.  And, hence, no way to bring them into 3DX.  Perhaps that's your issue.  I don't know how you'd bring them in if you can't  export them.

(I look under the export morphs rules -- you can expand any avatar, prop or clothing to see the morphs that will export.  And in the case of Klank, ain't nothing there).

Thanks for looking into this guys. As far as Klank goes he does have some facial morphs. There's a few listed as poses. Plus there are a few a morph sliders when you select his head. https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/036cd407-f4ef-41d2-a59d-4d9c.jpg
That tutorial from Warlord was the one I referenced. If you follow the steps, or at least I followed them and there are no morphs. Another character I tried was the 3D Universe Toon horse. That character has facial morphs with parameters for vismes etc. and following the tried and true method I can't get anything to export. I'm using 3DxChange 7.8.511. Not sure if that is the problem?

Did the dragon have facial morphs? I tried Klank and a few other characters (the toon horse) after updating iclone and 3dxchange a few weeks ago. Perhaps my settings are wrong, but I'm doing everything "I think" the same was as before. I converted a few of the 3D Universe toons using the method I'm trying now. Just go to the timeline and push the slider to create whatever morph you want. THey should be there in 3D Xchange. But they don't seem to be porting over.

The only thing you have to look at is in Daz export -- if during the export rules you don't see those morphs (in other words, expand the avatar and look at the morphs) then they clearly will NOT come into 3DX.  For Klank there are no morphs.  I'd have to look at the toon horse you referenced but I'm so drunk right now I can barely type.  I'll look tomorrow.

I might be delusional, but after 4.14, *some* of the morphs start disappearing from the export window.

1. I am not delusional. Some morphs would not show in the export window but they are imported fine into 3DX.

2. @kungphu you should use "Anything", "Export" option for them to appear in 3DX, not Bake.

But I don't see ANYTHING in the Krank export window, Mr. G.  Nothing.

So I don't think anything can come over.
