Kelleytoons (4/30/2021) Well, I did find an older version of Daz (4.9 so it should be good with most content) but I can't tell you guys where or I'd have to kill you.
Remember -- this is the reason we shouldn't reward Bad Behavior. Companies that force new versions on you, versions that TAKE AWAY things you used to be able to do (particularly if it's work with other software) should not get our custom. We are kind of screwed with Daz, though.Daz studio 4.12.086 is the last Version of Daz studio Own it is very stable. From what I have read, in their forums, Daz has ceased to "prosecute" their customers who privately share older version installers with the caveat that you will get no tech support for them except to be told to "upgrade" to the latest version.:ermm:

I have 4.6 on my oldest PC, but recently installed 4.15 on another one...:crying: On my latest PC (a sibling of Mike's new one), I haven't installed anything DAZ-related yet. I have an older version of DAZ listed in my account (a beta) but can't download it. Anyway, it's not that important for me as I do little with DAZ, but I'm sorry to hear about your troubles.

I have a backup computer in case I’m in the middle of a project and in case iclone goes belly up! So I haven’t updated it in a while. It was installing everything via the old system (not Daz Central). I can check if there’s an executable for Daz. But yeah, I agree I hate hate the automatic update deal. I wasted countless hours in 4.14 try to figure this out. :(

I have for sure unclicked all "install automaticallys" on my Mac version. No idea if an fbx exported there could be brought in via CC3 on my Windows computer, but at least I'll have that to experiment with, if anything goes wrong. Sigh

Was so sure, if I went into my product library at Daz, I could download the old versions, but nope. Mike's right--only the latest. Sigh...wish I'd known this before I updated last month. Was on 4.12 and all exports worked great. Haven't even tried since then. If it'll help anyone, I have a zipped version of 4.9 (yes, I'm a digital hoarder) from 2016. No idea if that'll install, and, big caveat, it's the Mac version because I didn't get a Windows computer until 2018...If anyone wants to try to install that, I'll post a link to my Google Drive folder.

Hmm, I'm using 4.14. So how did you even GET an older version of Daz. Daz is pretty well-known in making it difficult (if not impossible) to downgrade. That whole "Daz Install Studio" (or whatever the heck it's called) so similar to RL's "Dumb Content" is the same thing - trying to make it almost impossible for people to manage things themselves. But if you have a link to an older Daz I'd like to have it. I'm about to install a brand new computer (well, sometime -- I got it three days ago and have yet to unbox. But soon :>) and I'd like to install the older version (I certainly don't need any new features in Daz).

Hey Mike, Klank does have morphs (just a few). They aren't that easy to find though. He has a smile morph if you highlight his jaw and he has eyebrow morphs if you highlight his head. Turns out I'm not going crazy this IS TOTALLY A DAZZZZZ THING. Ugh... after wrecking my brain forever, I went back to an old computer that I have Daz 4.10 on and everything works juuuust fine. Just like it used to. Maybe your version of Daz isn't allowing the morphs for Klank? Here's a list of them. Not many but they're there. The new 4.14 of Daz does something with the morphs and doesn't recognize all of them for some reason. I'm guessing if it's all working for you, you must still be on 4.10 or older (Smart choice!). I tried the toon mouse and Toon horse in 4.14 and most of the morphs wouldn't show up in the drop down in Daz when exporting to FBX and they don't show up in 3D Xchange. I converted those characters on 4.10 and they worked just fine. I even got Klank and his smile/eyebrow morphs to port over to 3DXchange. I guess I'm the only one still exporting non-genesis character on Daz 4.14? I'll put in a support ticket to Daz so at least they're aware if not already. Thanks guys for helping out! Much appreciated.

If you can tell me what character doesn't work (as opposed to Klank, who clearly does NOT have the morphs) I'll give it a try in my version (I'm not sure what Daz version I have but I haven't updated in a LONG time. Like, a year or more).

4u2ges (4/30/2021) OK, as I said, I have no problem with this Crab model exporting *Face* Expressions with "Anything Export" option (even those, which are NOT listed in the morphs list on export page). But I suppose for older models (like Klank) timeline is the only option.
So here is a little trick, which might help those struggling (but not 100% guaranty, as there is nothing consistent about DAZ :Whistling:))
Note: do not try to change min/max... etc. values for cloned morphs. You cannot win, as DAZ has a bug there as well. Set whatever you can with cloned slider in DAZ and exaggerate values (if necessary) in 3DX going over "+" or "-" 100.
Thanks for this! There is something going on with Daz. I did have “anything bake” instead of “anything export.” But I tried a character I’ve already ported over before and most of the facial morphs didn’t even show up. Some, but not all. Weird. So something has definitely changed in Daz. I’m thinking of installing an older version of Daz and seeing if that works. Thanks for checking on this!
