I couldn't agree more, the team here seem to ignore the real reason their software run slow.. I kept telling them I'm running nothing other than iClone7 and that everything I could do I already have dond that, it's not the customer side's fault, it's their own software's fault. Maya runs perfect, Rokoko runs perfect, but something about iClone (and the entire Reallusion products line) is just completely and utterly broken. I feel sad that I paid for plugins that dont work at all such as the Curve Editor, but it is what it is I guess..While I understand the frustration, if the issue was solely with iClone (and all Reallusion products as you suggest) then everyone would have the same problem but that is not the case. iClone runs great for me on a similar spec computer so there is more to the problem than it just being iClone at fault. I would advise contacting/keeping in touch with Support and let them have your dxdiag.txt so they can see if there is an issue with drivers etc. EDIT: Just to add, please let us have your project so we can do some further testing. Thanks.

garry.smout (12/6/2020) iClone is a machine eater and I have had problems since iClone 5, especially with render times. I have found that as long as I have about 125 GB free on my C drive (it's a 256 SSD so constantly having to clean it of unwanted stuff) it works reasonably well, though again the rendering time has led me into caffeine addiction*. I have argued elsewhere on this forum that RL really needs to redesign IC from the ground up, as its updates and extras, fantastic as there are, seem to be sitting on an aging engine. Proof would be things like that now clothes seem to rip and tear much more easily; the basics that used to work OK are now falling apart. Nearly all the working content of iClone is in a folder called 'template', no problem it could be called 'Henry', but that particular name bothers me, it's as if the original iClone never had faith it would grow into quite a beast, so never bothered with a logically named file system.
And that maybe the problem @eylonedri is having - iClone has a confusing 'road' system that could do with some reroutes, and faster lanes! *another thing that may have helped was I turned on GeForce Experience. I have no idea what it is or what it does but since it being on iClone seems faster (though not in the rendering)I couldn't agree more, the team here seem to ignore the real reason their software run slow.. hi eylonedri
again, yes it is all about not putting a load on your machine as you have told us earlier with your task manager you can closed programmes down that are not needed!
well also the same thing can be done in iclone
as not to overload things
so here rule --- the more complicated your scene is the more load is placed onto your machine.
most motion action is done with a plain background
the scene is added later
I do hope, I have been of some help to you

hey Alan, thanks for the reply just to make sure, you suggest not to cross a recording time of about a minute~minute and a half at max? otherwise iClone7 will struggle editing long mo-cap clips? thanks Eylon

hi eylonedrias you know motion capture is done as a live feed on data transfer at the same rate as you capture! using a usb I am using the old Xbox capture system this works very well for me but it requirements states a usb of version 3 is needed other wise the software refuses to operate! I suggest that you make you movements into smaller parts than reaching a timeout situation! not forgetting to save your work after every motion start and stop example can start like this see below motion 1, motion 2 and so on saving after each motion hope, I have been helpful from Alan happy animations

hey r78, I'm not sure I'm following- how's the USB related to the slow processing problem during editing or after recording? When I edit the files I don't use any external devices, it's all on PC, and the processing problems with the records starts after I already done shooting the mo-cap take, so I don't think a USB has to do anything with it, am I missing something?

Hi mate. You say that my graphic RAM is low, but it does not seem to be utilised to the potential. Why would I need to upgrade if only 50% of it is being used? That seems odd.

hi all
extra tip, when iclone is starting up take a look at the splash screen
in the bottom left hand corner, you will see each of your plug in loading up.
so, if a error pop up on your screen remember what point it did at!
so, if this is a real problem the team maybe able to fix it.
helping all
