The all new 3D Scan Series: Virtual Human is here to meet the demand for ultra-realistic digital photogrammetry actors for use in filmmaking, XR and video games.  It includes virtual human heads and bodies that are fully rigged for live performance and animation editing. 2K and 4K texture resolutions are also provided for all major PBR texture channels, because skin textures are the most immediate and essential component for a believably living, breathing organic virtual actor.  Each head has its unique set of eyes and teeth to achieve the best possible visuals and facial animation.

This Virtual Human Heads can combine with any standard CC3 body and allows for further modification with morphs, skins, hairs, and outfits. This is useful for generating fully rigged and animation ready digital actors that can be exported to other 3D tools and game engines like Unity and Unreal.

The Virtual Human Heads were brought to you in part by 3D scans from 2CGVFX, a full service provider of asset production, scanning, consulting, training, and software development for games and VFX industries.

How to apply Virtual Human Head:

Go to Content Manager/Base/Skin & Morph/Head/3D Scan Heads Vol.1, choose the head you prefer.
Go to Content Manager/Base/Eyeball/3D Scan Heads Vol.1 and apply the eyes with an identical name.
Go to Content Manager/Base/Teeth/3D Scan Heads Vol.1 and apply the teeth with an identical name.
Use head scale, neck and shoulder morph sliders to smoothly blend the shape with different body styles.

All 10 heads are available individually or save money by buying them all in a complete bundle.

Please visit the product page HERE for more information.

Note:
RTL stands for Real Time Lighting, optimized for projects lit with light assets without IBL. You can find all 3D Scan Heads content in their corresponding CC3_RTL folders after installation.
Both 2K and 4K texture content are provided. Access 4K texture options from /Base/Skin & Morph/Head/3D Scan Heads Vol.1/High Resolution folder.

Obviously to be able to scan and bring in your own custom characters will require a 3D scanning rig. There are many different types out there and no particular model is required. If you don't have a 3D scanning rig (and most don't) then another option is to purchase 3D scanned characters directly and then convert them for use in Character Creator 3. The Learning Course explains this process.

The tools used by the instructors in the Learning Course include ZBrush, Marmoset, Wrap3, 3ds Max, Photoshop but again these are not all essential and you can use alternative software in most cases. Probably of those listed ZBrush would be the most important because you can make use of the GoZ feature built into Character Creator 3 Pipeline.

Ok it starts to become an advanced user...Ermm

I'm interesting of all of this but can we apply our head custom morphs imported from Daz for exemple ?
Or custom morphs are only for body ? As you know I have a preference for non-human character Wink

Hi...

If you mean can you use Daz or other morphs with these 3D scanned characters, then yes you can. Although the pack comes with 10 pre-set heads, you can actually create unlimited heads by blending a combination of the morphs to get completely new ultra realistic characters.

You can certainly use the textures, but remember that you are kind of talking about two conflicting things when you say you want those character morphs and then you want to combine them with the 3D scanned ones.  While it's not an "either-or" the more of the 3D morph you apply, the less you will then have of those characters (the creatures).

You can't have, say, just the "textures" of the 3D scanned ones -- there isn't a "skin texture morph" available.  Now, the 4K skins will look good on those characters, to be sure, but don't make the mistake of thinking you'll be applying the morphs you get with this pack (not if you want to keep those characters looking like aliens -- they will just look more and more like humans the more of the human morph you apply).

Thank Kelley but don't worry I'm very good to tweak thing but very bad to fix things Wink

The idea is not to animate morphs and texture body but to build non human with the max definitions.
Here are CC1 characters with tokomotion morphs and Realistic Human Head 100 textures applied. This is my target Smile
I would like to make the same with the 3D Human scan.
