Oh I see thanks. Guess I'll have to wait for Blackfriday Sale. I already spent the money on some Blender plugins.

You can export motions via CC. See this manual page: Character Creator 3 Online Manual - Exporting FBX Characters with iMotion (reallusion.com). When you click export File > Export > FBX (Clothed character) a dialog pops up, but you have to scroll down to the bottom to see the options to load a motion. 76% of original size (was 660x19) - Click to enlarge

I'm looking at getting CC3 pipeline. It says in this thread you can export animations with CC3 characters and Iclone. Is that done within Iclone 7? Because this screengrab doesn't seem to have export animation from within CC3 pipeline, only static obj and fbx.

The CC3 version that is free with iClone 7 is really a debut version.

CC3 is not being sold as standalone product anymore I think. It comes bundled w/ iClone 7 now? A few days ago, I couldn't find the option to buy it separately and wondered why. There has been no change in sales policy. :ermm:Character Creator 3 Pipeline is a standalone product and still on sale on its own. You can find it on the page below. https://www.reallusion.com/store/product.html?l=1&p=ccCharacter Creator 3 for iClone has never been sold separately and has always been included FREE with iClone 7. I thought Character Creator was sold separately in the past and I guess this confuses some newbies as well. In Cartoon Animator 4, there is a Pro and a Pipeline edition so I thought I already understood how their software naming convention is structured. For Character Creator 3 Pipeline, its confusing because it was sold as a stand alone product with the " Pipeline" word attached to it's name and no "Pro" edition. It's this segregation of iClone and CC features that confused me... in addition to using other possible plugins. But this sort of only becomes clearer the longer I use Reallusion products. Thanks for the clarification! :-)

perry_496801 (12/31/2020) Thanks. 'fbx (clothed character)' seems to suggest that. Makes me wonder about the merits of selling CC3 as standalone software.CC3 is not being sold as standalone product anymore I think. It comes bundled w/ iClone 7 now? A few days ago, I couldn't find the option to buy it separately and wondered why. That led me to this thread and I saw the comparison chart for "CC3 for iClone", the "CC3 Pipeline', and previous version. I think that was done to provide more value to iClone 7 while being able to also offer more features through an upgrade. At the same time, enabling customers to choose the functionalities they only need by allowing them to just directly purchase and use "CC3 Pipeline" itself as a standalone product without iClone. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been to adjust these software to work the way they do while adapting to the type of aggressive sales marketing Reallusion has. :-P

Just guessing, but you might need the Pipeline edition for export. This is what my menu option looks like with CC3 pipeline. 76% of original size (was 660x19) - Click to enlarge

I'm still a little confused about capabilities. A couple of days ago I bought iClone 7 with the included CC3 and expected to be able to export a character with attached accessories and motions for import into other programs like CC4, Blender, and Unity. However, I'm now wondering if I can do that without CC3 Pipeline or 3DXchange. Could someone please clarify this for me. Thanks.
