yes, iclone has an iray plug. It does not seem to be the same as the one offered in the preorder. or is it the same? and if it is not the same for me it would be more interesting that iclone, which is also compatible with cc3, is not it? clarification is appreciated

Hello, if I just want the cc3 to bring characters and clothes to animate it in ic7 do I need the iray add-on? Would not it be enough with the one included in ic7.3? When i got it right, there is no "free" Iray Plugin in 7.3...

kmitchell.12catblackstudios (8/10/2018) With the new GoZ option can we make better edits to the shape of the character? For instance the shoulders on the character is pretty broad for my style and When I try to bring them in or slum them down the binding of the arms and shoulders go crazy. Will this allow us more freedom for edits? Similar things happens when i try to make the torso shorter than it will allow with the base morphs. I shortened the arms more and changed the shoulders to be shorter and changed the torso to be shorter. As stated below the shell edits are limited would this have more flexability in CC3? Do this with CC tools and there will be no problems. Nearly.

The length of the bones, the distance between the joints must be changed in the CC. The shell can be changed in other programs. Or in other programs, you need to edit the skeleton. There are examples on the forum. But you can not reduce the shell, and the bones remain the same size. This leads to your result. kmitchell.12catblackstudios (8/10/2018)

Attached is an example of what I mean (please ignore the head as I am working on body style morphs). I shortened the arms more and changed the shoulders to be shorter and changed the torso to be shorter. But this breaks everything when posing. Is this something that will be easier with the GOZ addon So this is a limitation / my ignorance... I have modified my original question then.

Yeah - Mike, that's just about do-able for me. If I've got 4 to 5 weeks - there shouldn't be a problem. Thanks :)

Steve, You almost surely have until the launch date -- but after that it would be unlikely. So figure at least a month, and perhaps as close as two months (although that will be pushing it). If I were on the bubble and money were tight I'd skip the $50 for the iRay -- but that's just me. But as I said earlier, I can't imagine anyone using iClone that won't benefit from the Pipeline edition of CC3, and so you will want to try and save whatever money you can by getting it at the pre-order price (which is $130, right?). I guess what I'm saying is that if I am Steve and four weeks from now I had the $130 but no more I would jump on the pre-order so I didn't miss out. The iRay thing will be a lot more useful down the road then when first released (for one thing, you can't really even use it until iClone 7.3.x, and for another there are limitations to it initially anyway). So even if you decide eventually you want it you end up paying $100 say, next year, and no harm no foul (the other scenerio is that by next year you realize it's not worth it and save the entire $100). But that's just my take. Everyone needs to decide for themselves (although I *am* great at spending other people's money :>).
