I am working on a project for school, and everything was just going swimmingly. As always, I started by animating the visemes, which took about 4 hours. Then I started animating the motions. At some point, I noticed that when I hit play, I could not hear the audio. The visemes are still there and the audio track and waveform is still there. Just no audio. Interestingly enough, when I render it out, the audio is in the final render, no problem. However, how am I supposed to animate hand motions intelligently, if I can't hear what the avatar is saying?
BTW, in case anyone asks, I have tried restarting iClone and restarting my machine. I have checked the audio levels in the Project Settings and they are at 100. I have even tried exporting the audio and inserting it as a generic audio track, and I am getting no sound from that either.
My machine is an Intel Core i7 GPU, 930 @ 2.80 GHz; 12 GB RAM; nVidia GeForce GTX 650 (in case, you are wondering, no, I am not using GI in this project, because my graphics card is not up to snuff).
Any help with this would be appreciated, since this project is due Sunday, and I am screwed if I can't come up with a way of fixing this.
Thanks.

Hi Terry, Have you checked the volume sliders on the Play Bar (9 and 10 on the page HERE). You may simply have these set to zero.

Peter, thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I have checked those and they are set at 100.

Under normal usage iClone will normally use whichever device is set to default. You can check which audio device is setup as the default by going to Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Manage Audio Devices.
Try changing the default playback device if you have more than one listed. This should allow iClone 7 to use the correct audio drivers.

I'm having the same issues. Can't hear inside iclone, but when I export I hear the audio.

Both issues seem like an improper output or device config, like Peter suggested, what devices are you using for audio?

Hi, I am using pop video in a project. When I render the sound of pop video is not coming though it is coming in the project when I hit play button. Could someone please help?

I'm having the same problem. I have a video file embedded in a prop screen. It works perfectly playing in the program but when I render there is no audio. Other exported soundtracks work fine.
