I can not understand the exact meaning of character generator and I searched for previous articles.
And in some articles, character generator is described as a customizing game user's character by selecting different parts like eyes, body shape etc. with slides.

1. But what if spawned characters and npcs are not customized by user, but randomized with morph? Is this a character generation?
2. If characters change their appearance when the character is in some states (for example, character become skinny when starved or character's nose become large when bitten by insects etc.), will it be regarded as a character generation?

I think customizing character with slide or buttons is, course, a character generation, but I'm wondering whether "character generation" includes other changing of shapes, too.
