Apologies if this has been asked already.

What are the stipulations on utilizing default assets on modular characters during in game customization; that come with vanilla character creator?

Nothing purchased from the content store, strictly speaking default clothing items. The rest being custom made content.

Thanks!

If you only use the embedded content that comes with CC4, then there are no additional licensing requirements. You can use this content freely in commercial games or other applications.

Hi... as you can see from the chart, the one use only refers to CC Components. These are Avatars, Projects, Morph Sliders, Hair, Cloth, Shoes and Gloves. Motion Clips (animations) do not have these restrictions and can be used freely in unlimited commercial games.

Thanks for the quick reply.

But would this just be for one character only/One use in a commercial product? When I click on the Digital Soul License for an explanation it shows Standard as being One Use only.

Still new here and want to get all my ducks in a row before I dip my feet toes.

Just looking today regarding licenses.....
Digital Soul pack only comes with Standard License... it is an animation pack, so is it usable in a commercial game?

Yes, animations do not require an Extended License and can be used in commercial games with just the Standard License.

Thank you for prompt response!

Let me clarify:

Ad 1. Assuming I have purchased CC software, does it mean I can create multiple 3D characters with different configurations (such as body, clothing, and hairstyles) and use them commercially in an online service?

Hi...

Depends on what you mean by "online service". There are restrictions, especially regarding using Reallusion content with certain AI services. If you mean a game and you use the content included with CC4, then yes you can make multiple characters and use them in commercial games. However as mentioned previously, you are not permitted to use any Reallusion content in a character creator or character customizer without an Enterprise license.

Hello,

Thank you for patiently answering all questions so far. I have one more specific use case to inquire about:

  1. What license do I need to acquire to commercially use a character created with Character Creator 4, based on Kevin or Camila characters, in an online game where many users can interact with the character

  2. Am I allowed to use images and videos generated from the created character for commercial purposes, such as in social media or marketing?

Thank you for your assistance!

1. If you only use the content that comes with CC4, and don't use any content purchased from the Content Store or Marketplace, then no additional licenses are required.

2. Yes. Videos and images generated from any Reallusion software are royalty free for use in your own videos or images.
