It’s happening to me as well , I have 128 gigs of ram , RTX4090 , and Ryzen 12 core processor , SSD nvme2 hard drives no issues on any other 3D program , I’m starting to believe the problem is occurring from content manager bottlenecking iclone haven't had this issue with version 8 now 8.5 is causing issues. “

Have you tried the suggestions given in this thread such as unchecking "Environment Reflection" and trying different graphics drivers?

If you have and the problem persists, please contact Support using the link below and supply your dxdiag.txt file. They will try and help you improve performance.

This is an old threat, but the issue of very slow performance is still there with the latest NVIDIA drivers. I got like 8 FPS or less with a small scene with two characters.

So I followed the suggestion made by Vidius to roll back to driver version 537.38 and that made a huge difference. Something to consider if you are struggling. Whatever NVIDIA was supposed to resolve--it did not help iClone.

I am running windows 11, on an MSI gaming computer, 32gbs of ram, and iclone 8 frequently crashes. My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti . That is so frustrating. Please give me some sollution.

A suggestion was made earlier in this thread to disable Environment Reflection:
76% of original size (was 661x19) - Click to enlargehttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/ea09d220-987c-447d-bf78-1959.jpg
Did you try that? It has worked for me.

Yes, I did uncheck it and it does make an improvement. Unfortunately rendering with it checked back on still seems to take longer, at least for me. Interestingly, with the new driver it hasn't crashed like before, so some progress.

Hi all,
Thank you for providing the information.
"Some contents cause the crash when Enviroment Reflection is checked", we figure out it is caused by the NVIDIA driver update.

We have arleady reported it to NVIDIA and received the feedback. It will be corrected in the next version of the driver update.
From NVIDIA: ETA is Nov 21st (Game Ready driver). Dec 12th is next Studio Driver

Currently it is recommended to back to driver 53x version first. you can get the older drivers from this website.

Just to confirm, Joanne's suggestion of taking the driver back worked for me. My project is only around 3.2GB and I have a 8GB RTX360Ti and it was running so slow and occasionally crashing. (although even on small projects it was feeling sluggish). Also, rendering was taking forever. Rolled it back and Iclone 8 ran like a dream again.

I have just updated to the December 12th driver and it's back to struggling again. So it appears Nvidea have not sorted out the problem. :(

i had the same problem with crashes. unchecked the environmental reflection, and things worked again however, iclone 7 was being effected too. so
i uninstalled the Nvidia driver and rolled back to the 537.58 driver (studio version) and now everything is operating as it should. it is quite clear that the latest driver is
at fault and causing the issues.

I am running windows 11, on an MSI gaming computer, 32gbs of ram, and iclone frequently crashes or freezes. That is so frustrating. is there a solution to using less resources while you work for quicker work flow, and use max resources when it's time to render?

Please see the suggestions made by Joanne in the post before yours. This may help reduce or even resolve the crashing issues.

However, if you continue to have problems, please contact Support as I advised previously.
