Give yourself a nice pat on the back?  I didn't even ask if CC3 characters work in IC8.  I asked if Scan Reality characters would be updated to take advantage of whatever it is that makes CC4 characters unique and incompatible with IC7.  

I only have 2 scan characters given for free because it is expensive.
Scan Reality characters already work with the latest CC and are quite expensive. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be updated to CC4.
You can ask the same question for Actorcore characters.
We don't even know if these characters require a major update from CC3 to CC4.
Peter wrote that in general the contents will be updated to new versions of the programs.
However, it did not list the names of the contents to be upgraded.

Looked through e-mails again and spotted the deal for 3DXchange 7 Pipeline users. It is a reasonable deal indeed, though it's not mentioned or reflected on the page that shows you what you've qualified for, so a bit confusing.

Yes, to qualify for the free gift you need to own 3DXchange 7 (previously purchased) and spend at least $399 in the software and/or content store.
If you spend $699 or more in the content store, you also qualify for the 40% 2022 elite coupon that you can use unlimitedly in 2022 and only in the content store.

Ughh, thanks for clarifying that.  I even made the decision to spend more money based on that e-mail, instant regret. 

Wait a second, the free bonus for qualifying for CC4 also needs IC8 to use?  Can I trade in the Motion Director Theme Pack to knock off $99?!!  hah. 

Still seems like a pretty big jump in price compared to what I paid to upgrade before.  Maybe they're not expecting to attract many new customers at the full price?

Then I totally misunderstood that email.  Thanks for clarifying that.  However:  I would RATHER have gotten a further discount on IC8 and CC4 (since I have IC7 and CC3), rather than being offered some other product.

I will not be upgrading from iClone 7 to iClone 8 if I don't see a 50% discount as I have got every version from iClone 6. I think you guys need to think about your customers.  :(
