Distinguished Member Group: Forum Members Last Active: Last Week Posts: 628, Visits: 4.1K	When the face-following Logitech webcams were new, a dozen years ago, they would not track dark-skinned individuals because their skin did not reflect sufficient light. Later, when Apple decided to embrace face ID, they added IR for reliability. IR reflects everything even when visible light is dim. When using a webcam, it helps to light up your subject like a photo studio. I use Neewer lights on the left and right, and I plan to add a center light. "Less clicks good, more clicks bad."

Distinguished Member Group: Forum Members Last Active: Last Month Posts: 420, Visits: 4.2K	yeah. so it's 500 for an iphone plus 200 for the profile - 700 or 200 for a logitech webcam and 900 for the profile - 1,100 which makes the apple version 400 cheaper, buttttttttt still... 700 bucks to get some software to work. Gotta be a way to get that price down!

Gotta be a way to get that price down! The only real alternative is Blender. It's not as "Turn the key and drive away" as I would like, but it does allow some affordable mocap options. "Less clicks good, more clicks bad."

However, the profiles won't included in iClone 8 but still be available in our store. I know there are a lot more expressions coming in ic8. With regard to Acculips, is there any potential that that might use more ARkit, typical animation keyframes, jumping within various programs my results seem to shift or vary and being able to perhaps refine certain animations in Blender etc it would be helpful if those were in the more universal file hierarchy? If you have the iClone 8 software, all the plugins and profiles which were purchased for iClone 7, will have free upgrade to be compatible to iClone 8. You don't need to purchase the same things twice, even you bought them in early 2021. We'll inform all the iClone users of this upgrade news through member email once it's officially launched.
