I took the same approach as toystorylab for one of my AccuLips Contest contributions.

As I recall, I just rendered the video for the mirror directly from iClone without further processing.

And I created this mirror-effect at the 02:46 mark in the video by rotating the entire iClone set on it's side so the "water-prop" would reflect correctly....

I tried also this approach some months ago but wasn't happy at all about overall look in daylight plus, as far as I remember, particles and shadows were not reflected, so, bottom line, I scrapped it.
But in your video it suits very well, great work again!
