To have two characters walking side by side, can they use the same path or do you suggest two parallel paths?

I've had good results with one path and attaching a Dummy prop to the path. Then linking the avatars to that Dummy prop. You'll need to tweak the speed of the walks for each avatar and the speed that the dummy moves along the path but that has worked good for me.
