Hi all,
Hoping someone has an answer or quick fix for this issue.
Live Link works great for any character that comes with Iclone, but when I use my custom character the motion in Unreal is facing the opposite direction to in Iclone.
Animation still works on the hands, legs arms etc, its just the root seems to be reversed in Unreal.

You can see what I mean here:

I'm new to using animation with unreal so is there a quick fix to this, or have I just messed up some import options?

Many Thanks!
V

I've seen this issue with Maya Live-Link.
Here is an Idea , don*t know if it works:

1. Bring in an Empty Actor (or a Live Link Origin)
2. Parent your Character under the Empty Actor (only the Character that is reversed)
3. Rotate the Empty Actor by 180 degrees

You can also open the character blueprint and adjust the rotation there on the Z axis. Unreal characters are usually set to rotate -90 or 270 (same).

When moving content into Unreal and character rotation is not corresponding to animations, you may want to re-import the character mesh with altered rotation, set under import settings, on the character mesh panel.

Thanks I'll have a look at both of these!
I tried removing the origin and re-importing then parenting everything into it separately but that unfortunately didn't work. I'll try rotating the origin and then parenting next.
I shall also try the import settings and adjusting the blueprint.

I'll update you once I have given them a go, hopefully they work!
