rogyru (12/19/2019) Well done the renders look great, you planing to do a animation inside of the spa??
Thanks, i'm glad you like it. Yes, i have plans for a few animations, but in the meantime i've worked on other projects.
And since the Headshot plugin has arrived lately, my current priority is creating lots of avatars. Which i can later use for this and other projects to fill them with life :)

Thanks guys. I hope i am allowed to post this. I only want to demonstrate how the scene would look. Well, starting from this point i am one of the guys who urges Reallusion to adopt Popcorn FX / particle system to Iray... :Whistling: As for the animations: unfortunately, the 'Move That Camera' plugin doesn't work at this project, but that's another topic...:crying:

Thanks a lot 4u2ges. Your help is much appreciated, as always!
The lamps are all in one single mesh. I can't do much with it in Blender. But at least i now understand why this didn't work as i expected.
I will stay with the workaround of setting up the light parameters so it looks acceptable.
BTW: in Daz Studio, the light bulbs are emissive surfaces with settings for color temp and lumen. As such, they are treated by Iray as regular light sources.

Yes, that works. But only if i set the opacity to zero (that doesn't make sense).
I had a hunch you're going to say that.;) The problem is, that the lamp housing geometry probably has wall thickness (or some problem with geometry), which is ridicules given the simplicity of the object. There absolutely no need for the solid, dual mesh there. Given a single layer of the mesh, it should be working as following: (this is a fully opaque, glowing half-capsule with a spotlight inside of it)
2-sided enabled for capsule:
2-sided disabled for the capsule:
You can take those housings to Blender and try to inspect/clean the mesh to make it work as expected.
On the other hand, you could just leave the light outside, then the housing material would not matter. And there is not much difference in illuminated area (which can be tweaked anyway):

As you can see, as soon as the spotlight is inside the lamp housing, no more light gets emitted.
Disable 2 - sided for the lamp housing material and the light would go through.
Yes, that works. But only if i set the opacity to zero (that doesn't make sense). And it produces some interesting shadows:
