Is there a way to set the resolution of the sky?  Even though I'm bringing in an 8K 360, the picture is very blurry/grainy/dark.  It looks fine outside of iClone.  I turned off sky blur with no effect.

Check if self-illumination is on (it should be default) if it looks dark.

Is render also blurry? Make use that DOF is turned off.

The only other setting I can think of is Max Texture Size under Preferences > Real-time Render Options.

At first i wanted to try the 'HDRI stage', converted for iClone.
But i couldn't find it anywhere in the thread...

Yes, all my dropbox links vanished when they changed the conditions.
Here is a new link, in case you still want to give it a try: LINK
Should be considerably better than the "Dans_Dome".

I just realized that there are endless possibilities

Most sense to me now makes the usage of the 360 images in the regular IBL slot (Sky image).
Tweaking the scaling and height, it gives nice results.
The ground plane has to be a real prop with a texture and bump map.

Since the FlowScape export image is not HDR, the IBL is not of much use (bad for Iray as well).
So i have to still use additional lights :(

I don't know if it is related, but i always have to uncheck 'Image' at the Sync Sky options, after loading the image.
Otherwise, it looks wrong.

75% of original size (was 669x19) - Click to enlargehttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/48a2d14e-e6bd-4371-94b6-0bc3.jpg

When enabled, the image manipulation options should influence both the sky image and the IBL.
http://manual.reallusion.com/iClone_7/ENU/Pro/Default.htm#iClone_7/Pro_7.0/10_Scene/Atmosphere/Sync_to_Sky.htm?Highlight=Sync%20Sky
Somehow that feature doesn't work for me.

This is my last test for now ;)
HDRi / IBL Sky, Camera: 50mm lens
Some iClone plants and flowers. It only work together with the 'Sky' in that specific camera position.

It depends...

Hi tipfreak, i used 'Dans Dome'.
Seems you also used that in your example.
I read the german thread, that's why i tried that prop.
The other methods looked a bit difficult to me.
At first i wanted to try the 'HDRI stage', converted for iClone.
But i couldn't find it anywhere in the thread...

I now did another test where i placed some props in iClone.
I have to say that it largely depends on the camera settings.
The complete scene stops working if the camera position is slightly changed.

@gordryd The file size is actually ~20MB, sorry i confused that.
Here is the screenshot:

I'm not quite sure what kind of Dome prop you used, and what you expect ?
Because the ground plane is flat, the visibility of your plants will always depend on the angle of your camera (as long as you don't use additional bump textures for the Dome prop [never tried that]):
