Ok, interesting challenge. I have a character that was created completely in Maya (and Zbrush) that I would like to continue to edit in Character Creator. Obviously I can save it to FBX 2012 as been well documented but I don’t have a key since this wasn’t orginally generated from CC2. Is it possible to get it in there or is 3d exchange the only option? Is there a way I can export a cc2 character, then use it’s key to import my guy?

You cannot make a character into a CC avatar -- it can only start that way and be edited further. Any other attempt won't match (verts). So you can bring it in as a non-standard avatar, via XChange. But you won't be able to do anything with it in CC.

Bummer! I had a feeling that was the case but I was hoping there was some super secret trick I wasn't privy to. Thanks, Kelleytoons! Appreciate the response.
