Ya now after updating iclone to 7.2.1 whenever I am rendering a video Windows 10 is giving a BSOD with error critical process stopped. When I restart, windows will go into repair mode and unless I go into command prompt using window recovery and fix the boot sector, it will not restart.

I am rendering again to check whether it is iclone or something else but happened twice now with the new update.

and happened thrice now. I made sure internet was off and other processes were off too.
How do I roll back to the old version till the bug is fixed?

Personally I would take a look at my video drivers.  Especially if it only happens when rendering.

seems like I have the latest AMD GPU drivers installed. This was not a problem before the iclone update and games like LOL and others are working fine.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled AMD drivers, even recorded using AMD relive and everything works fine.
This time the complete rendering got over and then iclone crashed. No BSOD just black screen and it corrupts the boot sector somehow.

Can anyone tell me how to re roll to the previous version or reinstall iclone without losing all the custom props, motions and avatars I have added?

that's usually caused by a buffer underrun -   meaning ...that something is not processing info as fast as iclone is giving out info.

so for instance,  if the drive is asleep and you are trying to render,  the buffers get full...but no place to print ...iclone doesn't stop to wait ...it keeps filling the buffer till crash...   OR if you have a bad drvier somewhere and it's clogging up the data stream ...it will crash...it can be a variety of things .....basically whats happening is iclone is sneezing a burst of data stream, and your computer is pinching it's nose -eyes bulge- ....Crash!

Ok just for testing I used custom motion on slacker morph and it rendered without any problems. so something in my scene is causing the crash.
I have already rendered a lot of animation from the same scene, the only difference is I just bought this toon frog from iclone store and animated it. It looks outdated because motion puppet isn't there and edit motion layer doesn't open the normal interface but old bones one.

Could this be causing a crash? If so how do I fix it?

If that is the case how do I increase the buffer stream? I still believe it is either the frog or a spotlight I have placed in the scene. I am removing the spotlight and re-rendering again.
Basically, the timing of the iclone update matches the toon frog I bought that is why the whole confusion.

it's not a matter of speeding up the data stream,   technically that's regulated by the chipset and cpu on your motherboard ....it's more of a case of finding out where the data stream is being interrupted or not keeping up with iclone's data burst when rendering.

that could be your codec,  or your intel driver set, or your video driver, or 3rd party software that's interrupting the stream - ie - video capture software,  malfunctioning anti virus,  even an overheating or slow video card can do that ........it's hard to say because so many things can interfere....but if you follow a troubleshooting path in that direction -  it may help you identify the cause.

Do things like run a direct x test,  look at your system performance for spikes and drops in data - peek at what software was most active in the task manager when iclone crashed....etc ...stuff like that.

It was the dumb spotlight I added to the scene with some high values, which was causing the crash. Also, I changed the default video player from windows player to vlc (for opening the video after export). Now the crash is not happening, wasted many hours on this silly mistake. :)
Thanks, everyone.
