I had a chance to download and install RT 4.0, which is indeed accepted.

I exported an old test scene, and one thing I found was that the camera settings were completely off. For some reason the focal distance was too large (about a 100 times it seems), so I had to adjust the camera. I remember that camera settings (including DOF) were never transferred correctly.

Hmmm...maybe a 'switch' cam works, but maybe not if an actual camera.  I haven't tested beyond my initial test, but I see 'switch' was being used.

The results that I showed are the same with any camera. "Switch" is not a camera, it is just switching from one camera view to another - as the name implies.

The 2 screen shots below show the iClone view - including the Preview Camera in the Mini Viewport, and the render view in Indigo RT 4.
76% of original size (was 661x19) - Click to enlargehttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/99d3b6bc-5afc-410f-940a-13f6.png

I didn't wait for a clean render in Indigo as I just wanted to demonstrate what was being rendered.

Did anyone ever notice that when you export a scene from iClone to Indigo, Indigo takes the scene only from the Preview Camera.

Let me be politically incorrect and say: Not True. It always takes a scene from a viewport regardless how many cameras you have set at your scene and which one is rendering your current viewport. :Whistling:

Did anyone ever notice that when you export a scene from iClone to Indigo, Indigo takes the scene only from the Preview Camera.  So if you have Preview of a scene in iClone which is overhead, and then you have a Camera set up on a character's face, and you export out, Indigo will show the overhead view.
Don't remember, was it always like this?...If so, it was a missed thing they could have had in the plugin tab, like a Camera select menu.

Late response... That would be a bug. The exported scene should be the same as what is shown in the viewport through the selected camera, give or take some deviations in camera settings.

LOL...the 'political' way to say it:
It's not determinably a "Bug", it is essentially, what amounts to, in context of the course of what we would say is good working order, an "export deviation".

(But, guessing we won't see any more development now...
I mean, dear me...with Lord Iray entering the Kingdom of Iclonington?....He will likely have NONE of it! )

The beautiful video posted by 4u2ges (at the 0:06 mark) reminded me of this "Hair and Collision Objects" issue I put in Feedback Tracker:
https://www.reallusion.com/FeedBackTracker/Issue/Collision-Shapes-G6-CC-very-bad-for-long-when-when-character-bends-forward

It's "On hold."

I wonder if the body mesh updates in CC3 will include fixes to the collision objects.
(I think I'll go ask that over there.)

Bless you for having made that video.  It must have taken eons to export out!

Not really. Whole thing took 3.5h (including export) with render speed 30 spf

Did you see in the recent RL Genesis 8 tutorial, Kai says, referring to Iray @ around 1:04:00- "Think this....Indigo, but faster...and better"....
OUCH!

I've seen an Iray demo. Single character + IBL. 5-6 seconds to build (black screen) + about about 25 sec to render. Then they moved camera and the build time was again around 5 sec. So I would not be so sure it'd be faster than Indigo RT4.
