Kelleytoons (1/3/2018) Not that I need much of an excuse to buy almost anything, but are you saying that the Ragdoll thingee in the marketplace can be used in iClone 7 with CC characters?
Yes. That's what I'm saying. Here's Christian_CC and the juicy little ragdoll that guides him underneath, all for 399 points, which is a couple bucks. He was just struck by a basketball in the chest. As for the second question, I am not well-versed enough to answer it (yet).

Yeah, it's not *real* convincing, but it's okay. I'm starting to think now that maybe some mocap stuff would just be better overall (my problem is at my age I just can't do these kinds of falls anymore -- oh, I guess I could fall. It's getting back up afterwards that's a concern).

I found out that if you substitute a CC character for a G5 character with the reach targets, the options of what you can do are very limited. Much better to do the ragdoll physics simulations with a G5 character (like Chuck) in iClone 5, save the animation of the G5 character (not of the ragdoll) in an iClone 7 motion directory and then apply it to a CC character (like Christian here) in iClone 7. Son't forget to apply a kinematic motion to the ball (see pic). Here's the result in iClone 7:

I bought "Ragdoll behavior" by Sen in the marketplace for 1899 points. There are 54 different motions. It is also for the G6 characters, but they work directly in iClone 7 with a CC character (like Christian here) Of course, you can apply all kinds of modifications afterwards, like slow-motion, edit with the Motion layer, smooth with curve editor, etc...

Yeah, those are much better and I think ultimately the way to go (or something similar). It's not surprising, though -- as a rule using physics for 3D animation is almost never as convincing as animation by hand (particles being the exception that proves the rule).
