Hi, did anyone try to make a rope? I guess, iclone physics does not support rope animation, but I found an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpCS-c4txA0Do you know how to do it? Thank you..

Unfortunately, this video has been described as soft cloth, not rigid body.

The one you mentioned in the first video won't work for you? It's only $2 in the Marketplace and works with IClone 6 or newer. http://city.reallusion.com/ContentPreview.aspx?i=JICd8d6e8630bc3696d7

This looks interesting and useful to me. Can it be used to create a character swinging on a rope?

Shadoesword (2/27/2017) This looks interesting and useful to me. Can it be used to create a character swinging on a rope? As much as I hate to say it, probably not as you imagine. The Physics Enabled Cable can be attached to multiple objects but it can still be pulled apart. So, for example, if you attach one end to the swing set and another to the swing seat and then let gravity drop the seat, the cable will break and the seat will fall to the ground. So you would still need to fix the position of the seat (i.e. turn off gravity) and do the motion animation manually but if you did then the chain between the swing set and the swing seat would follow automatically. I think a better solution to implement a swing would be to make the swing set, chains and seat all one object and then play with soft cloth to give the chain portion a less rigid feel.

Thanks for the reply. What I am looking to do is not make a swing set, but to make a character swing on a rope like Batman or Spider-Man. I've tried a few things, including a soft cloth "rope" but with nothing that looks good to me.

If someone is swinging on a rope, it will be straight from them up to its attachment point. No need for physics at all. You might want a tail-end that hangs down that is physics.

Not sure I totally know what you mean. When the rope is taut during the actual swing, maybe a narrow cylinder might work for the rope. But at the start and end the rope is semi-loose and should be curved before it becomes taut. That would seem to need some physics. And I have wrestled with weight maps, constraints and tutorials for hours without getting good results.
