Hi, I'm trying to drop images into a scene as billboards. I know I'm supposed to right-click drag the item then select 'billboard' from the pop up menu. Problem is I only get the pop up menu about 5% of the time. The rest of the time it just applies it as the sky or what not. Pretty sure its a bug, Does anyone know of an alternative way to import an image as a billboard? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Also, ctrl clicking to import as a plane works fine. Anyone know if there is a way to change the plane to a billboard.

To be honest it sounds as though there may be a problem with your mouse. Right clicking and dragging should work 100% of the time and does for me when I test it. If your image is appearing as a background then that is what you get if you left click and drag. It may be the buttons on your mouse are not be working efficiently.

Right click is working fine on everything else but then again, I am running a mac mini with a windows partition and I'm using a magic mouse so could be worth trying another mouse.
Cheers for the advice!

Peter, Just for info sake, I have exactly the same problem with Windows here in iClone 6. I was watching a tutorial and saw it showed how to drag an image in as a billboard (or to get that option) and I couldn't get it to work even one time (it always just made it the background image). Win 8.1, and two wireless Logitech mice on two different computers (so I suspect it's a bug as well). I ended up just creating the billboard from the menu and populating it by dragging the image onto it.

And I just tried it now and for the first time it actually worked for me (the other day I could not get it to work no matter what). So... I don't know (intermittent issues are the pits).

I always do those things the long-winded way, so I tried it and it worked. Right-clicking dragging and dropping brings up the menu. I have Windows 7 Pro.
