How to Set Up an Independent GPU Mode for Your Notebook

If you are using a Notebook computer to run iClone 5 or iClone 6 then make sure that you follow this procedure to run your Independent GPU and VRAM with iClone, instead of the default Intel Graphics System.

For AMD
http://driversnest.com/guides/make-best-settings-to-run-new-games-on-your-notebook-guide/set-up-your-ati-amd-radeon-notebook-for-gaming-best-performance.html

For Nvidia
First find your NVIDIA setup program from the system tray

Go to 3D Settings - Manage 3D Settings, and select “Program Settings” tab
- Step 1, Add iClone 6 as your target program

- Step 2, choose “High Performance NVIDIA Processor” , and click the Apply button.

Now you are done with the most important setting. In the last step, please make sure that you plug in your AC adapter, and change your battery mode to “Performance” or “Entertainment” or the highest performance mode for the best real-time experience.

I have a Lenovo G505 laptop running Windows 8.1 and I installed the latest AMD Catalyst Control Center which included all the driver updates, the AMD settings they show at the above site are a little outdated, so here's a pic of how I set up mine in case someone else has the same set up. I have seen a big difference in the way iC6 operates!

NOTE... The AMD installer adds a couple of things you may or may not want, I uninstalled the stupid game site program and a Google Chrome extension and all is good now!

Dell XPS 8900, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3408 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s), 16 GB RAM, - 4 GB GeForce GTX 745, NVIDIA compatible.
Acer Aspire V Nitro Laptop,  2.5GHz Intel Core i5-7300HQ processor with 6MB cache,  256GB solid state drive, 16GB Ram,  4 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics.

hey, no longer to set up GPU mode manually, because from iClone v6.03 already run as high performance mode.

ref the 6.03 section: http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/iclone_upgrade.aspx
