Had to install a patch to get it to run ..... seems ok now... it must be ok as they used it on the kings speech... I find it awkward but that could be just me .. worth a look if ya need a free editor..

i wasn't crazy about it either, it ran with that bin system stuff - didn't flow with my noob style of film making. I film then drop it into the scene - repeat. they seemed to want to convert everything into a bin first like avid.

hrmm - lots of features for a freebie! nice one!! let me know how it works out! although I will say lightworks looks like it was made for bigger film type projects - this one looks good for the 3 minute quickies. You ever try the debugmode - wax one I posted earlier ? I like that one a lot - it taps into the freebie effects you can get on the net for the really unique things - nice tool to just have in the collection when you wanna do something strange and unique. i like using it when i do vj trippy acid type music videos.

Ok I have one last question for now, and I appreciate all the help so far, but HOW DO I PREVENT THIS in the future????

What is it that I did wrong? Is an 8 min video just too much to do under one iProject file? I want to do whatever I can to prevent this absolute debacle in the future. This is just too much.

i've read a lot about CINELERRA - but all the linux software looks so windows 95'ish - and i've heard that with linux you really have to know a certain level of programming to roll with it. seems more like a techie thing than an artists thing.
