So after spending at least a 100 hours making this 8 minute video (project file is 300MB), I can't render it for the following reasons.

1 If I try to render it in iClone 32bit, I get the annoying "error loading WAV file."

2) If I render it in the 64bit BETA, guess what? NO CODECS. Which means, my only option is to render it Full Uncompressed. Final size would be gigantic (over 10 gbs).

So how do I go about this? How do I make my project render? I'd have to address it in the following ways:

A) Somehow get 32bit iClone to NOT give the WAV file error (I tried replacing the MP3 files with WAV files, didn't help. I peeled back layer by layer and was able to determine that it's not any ONE particular music file, just the fact that I have so many of them, but they're all needed...)

B) OR.....somehow 64bit beta version to give me other rending options OTHER than Full Uncompressed.

Somehow PLEASE help, I'm so depressed after slaving over this project for nearly 2 months, to be stopped by this glitch in the program.

render it without audio then mix the audio in with a video editor ?

Thanks, I'll try that. Any recommendation on video editing software? Any good free ones? I just need to be able to mute the sounds of my iClone video, and export it again in 720P quality, that's my goal.

(the reason I need to mute the sounds, is because I just found out that if I delete a sound file from Kane, for example from his walk or run animation, it actually BREAKS his animation. So what I did was delete the music and sound effects, but left the "embedded" character sounds intact)

to be honest, i'm not crazy about the free editors out there as they tend to be a bit unstable ...BUT there is one that i use on occasion because it has some cool unique effects and is relatively stable in comparison to the others.... plus you can use it as a plug in with some softwares, it also has compositing features and as a stand alone i believe it can also take some of the free plug ins found on the net.... http://www.debugmode.com/wax/

it definitely has it's cool features, but again ....it can get unstable at times. but it's free...so ...this makes that a bit more tolerable. Just save often :)

actually it's listed as a special effects / compositing software but i think you can edit with it also, i used it mostly as special effects and was happy with the results.

You can mute the sounds associated with a character by going to the Modify panel on the right. Near the bottom is an option to Mute those sounds. This is only for walk sounds and such, not for dialog.

Another option would be to render it at full uncompressed AVI then convert it to the format of your choice using software like format factory. Or load the full uncompressed Avi into your editor of choice and save it out in another format. this is the method I use, I only compress the final video..

IMO, if all of the Sound Files you've Imported Play in Play-back, then both iClone & your PC are capable of Rendering them in Real-Time & therefore "should" Render them to File; AVI 720p.

Do this:

1) Check your HDD for Fragmentation & Defragment it, if it needs it.

2) Open your Project. Go to Export & Select AVI 720p. Go-back to Set. Then your Project will be the same Resolution as your Export.

3) Go to; Export & Select MP4 for PC HD 720p. Then you won't get the Uncompressed Dialog Pop-up.

I greatly appreciate the tips everyone.

I'm not able to select MP4 while I'm using 32bit, since I don't even get the option to pick how I want to export it. The moment I hit export, I get the WAV file error.

Currently, I just got home from work to see that iClone 64 bit is still rending, and it's up to 30gbs now.

After this is complete, and if I'm not able to figure out how to compress this down into a manageable sized AVI, then I'll go with option 2, which is use 32BIT iclone, remove all the sound as people suggested, which then WILL give me the option for various export choices, so size is no longer an issue..., then finally add the sound in post production in another program (which is another issue I'll figure out).

I hate having barriers and obstacles between my ideas i want to put on screen and the final result. IMO any barriers should strictly be of the type: "how do I make this scene work? how do I better focus the narrative?" And NOT "WTF is wrong with this program, why it it giving me glitches if I myself, the user, did nothing wrong am using it 'right' ?"

Well - You really do need a NLE Video Editing Program in addition to iClone for iClone Post Production Editing.

Many of us use both, Producing several iClone Projects within our own single Project. Exporting those to File & Importing the Files into the NLE Program for further Editing & Export to the desired Format.

Windows Moviemaker comes with Windows XP. WindowsLive Movemaker comes with Windows 7. Both are Free.

However, they might not have an Editable Audio Timeline, which you need if you're Importing Audio.

There are many purchased Consumer NLEs that do. IMO, that is your immediate problem, because you need to decide upon which one & then learn how to use it, which will take several weeks/months.

Even then, IMO, they won't Import a 60GB 8 minute Uncompressed RAW AVI File.

IMO, in the short-term, you should send a Support Ticket to Reallusion, to see if they can resolve your specific problem re; Unable to load WAV File..

You could Export in iClone 64 Bit, by Selecting Microsoft 1 or Indeo 510 in the AVI Pop-Up Options. Both will Export Compressed very small Files, but not HD. It depends upon what you want to use yout Final Export for.
