This is an issue I have replacing the g5 Gwynn model with any g3 female on the bike (HIK & Reach Target)project.

The first picture is what happens if I use the time scrub to play the scene but the second picture is if I just push play to watch the project.

Remove the Character "SPRING" on the Modify Panel...stops the compression which it looks like you are experiencing.

Has this ever been resolved?  99% of my projects (both large and small) from iclone4 crashes iclone5.  I asked in a different thread but no response yet. 

The issues I was having were sorted by unattaching any props that were attached to the terrain...

Am also having the "Distorted Elbow Problem" with older iClone characters. :ermm:
Another thing I noticed is that parts of the shadows are missing (the parts closest to the respective object). See, for example, the shadow of the bike wheels in the attached video, as well as all other shadows, the first parts of which are missing (see, also, the light stripe running through the last tree shadow). :blink:

Because of the changes to the core program in iClone5 users may experience some issues when opening older iClone4 projects in iClone5. However if you are finding almost every project won't open and crashes IC5 then it would see there may something else at play here.

I would advise contacting Support using the link below. They may request that you send them one of the projects causing crashes  so they can investigate the cause. If you can do so that would be very helpful.

I noticed that besides global shadow settings, there are now also individual shadow settings for props, etc. You may want to see if playing with those settings gives an improvement.
