I think it is this one or another one just like it.

I will post some images to illustrate the issue when I get a chance.

I've noticed an interesting bug with texture mapping. I have the 3D animated book asset that I bought from the iClone store a while back. I really like this prop, but texture mapping is a problem. The simplest way to demonstrate the bug is to load this prop into iClone and go to the texture properties. Select the Cover texture and then click the Apply button. Suddenly the texture mapping is all out of whack. As I see it, this tells me that the current texture mapping settings that iClone shows me are all wrong. Because simply re-applying them shouldn't change a thing. It's like iClone has no idea what the texture mapped settings are for this prop. I think this is true of other props as well, but I never checked.

So, the problem then becomes how to get the texture mapping back to the way it was. I can just undo the Apply, but in some cases I just want to tweak my own custom texture map. Unfortunately, I've been unable to find what the true default texture mapped settings are so that I can just tweak them. As soon as I hit Apply, it's all messed up.

Are you using the Books that come from the Motion Montage pack?

If so I can't find a problem with adding textures to these props. Selecting a texture via the Texture Settings area of the Modify Panel or dragging directly onto the prop appear fine.

Please can you supply further information on the book prop you are using and perhaps a screenshot showing the problem. Thanks.

Here is another one for u guys,.

when you keying for the reach function does not work at all.

on frame 1 I have keyed the feet of the reach function to an accessory. (not prop)
on frame 9, I disable the reach,.. and it shows in the timeline as keyes made,.. when i hover over those keys with my mouse it says "Release" showing that the correct keys were made. The GUI also reflect that the reach function has been disabled.

despite all of this the reach function acts as if it is enabled still. when i move my accessory tje feet still follow.

I heard there was a bug in 4.5, but i am using 5.5

This process is working fine in my testing. The issues you are experiencing may be down to the very short distance between starting at frame 1 and releasing at frame 9.

When you issue a release command you will have a blend bar that indicates the length of the release. This would normally extend over a number of frames . As you are working with such short gaps between frames, try shortening the blend bar so the release effect will occur sooner.

This may resolve the problem.

I Mentioned this a couple of times in other forums,. but this is getting ridiculously annoying at this point.

evvverytime i save out a pose,. and open up iclone and click the thumbnail i saved for that pose,.. my character is offset, both in the negative X and Y axis. its a bitch trying to reposition him to the correct spot eeevery single time.

this is an issue because lets say i am doing multiple animations with the same start and finishing pose, and i have to come back another day to finish the rest of the animations.. and i load up his start pose,.. i have to keep rectifying the offset,.. which is not going to be accurate therefore causing problems if i am making the animations for a game.

if you want to discuss the issue more please email me at sgiovanni1@yahoo.com.

Please can you supply the steps you are taking when the problem occurs. If the development team can reproduce exactly what you are doing it will be easier to track the problem. Thanks.

Thanks.

Hi guys,

Just a quick issue I am experiencing.

I work with the toon shader and this problem has happened to me three times thus far. Twice on 5.4 and just now on 5.5.

It all starts out with me opening Iclone. Then I would get a crash error saying that Iclone needs to close. After I reopen Iclone and the toon shader is gone. Its available as an option but when I select it, only lights in the scene change, no toon shader at all.

I checked to make sure its turned on etc... All of my scenes turn into badly lit scenes without the toon shader. I uninstalled and re-installed the AMD graphics card driver and it does not help. The only thing that solves this problem is if I uninstall Iclone and reinstall again. The toon shader comes back and is usable.

Anyone else have this problem???

Thanks.

the developers are informed of the issues in this thread, some of the items mentioned are actual bugs - we help report them. ;)

That may be true, but as Peter is always fond of saying:

If you have any issue that is seriously affecting your use of iClone5, please do contact Technical Support using the link below. Thanks.

You should e-mail support as they answer issues a lot quicker than they would in these forums.
