CrazyTalk Animator Now Works With Mac Virtual Machines With the release of CrazyTalk Animator v1.11 you can now use CTA on your Macs using Virtual Machines. Both VMware Fusion and Parallels Desktop can now be used to run CTA on your Macs. Another new addition for those using virtual machines is a new option added on the Export Panel to allow for Supersampling. This will help smooth out the anti alias feature which is not fully supported on virtual machines. To get this latest update, just login to your Account and click Bonus & Upgrade for your version of CrazyTalk Animator. Alternatively you can use LiveUpdate to download.

I'm trying to use Crazy Talk Animator with Windows 7 in Parallels on a Mac. I installed version 1.11.1614.1. The program loads, then opens briefly before disappearing. Any advice? The other problem I'm having since installing Windows 7 on a PC is that my Cepstral voices won't work in Animator, but they do work in Crazy Talk. Any fix for that?
Thanks!

gadav11 (5/31/2011) I tried installing crazytalk pro animator v6.2 on my Imac running parallels windows XP and message popped up: cannot run on virtual machine. Any advice will be appreciated. Are you referring to CrazyTalk 6.2 Pro or CrazyTalk Animator? They are two different products. If you are using CrazyTalk Animator then please make sure you are using version 1.1 which allows CTA to work with virtual machine software like Parallels. If you have the latest version of CTA or are using CrazyTalk 6.2 Pro and still having problems then please contact Reallusion Support using the link below. They will help you diagnose the problem. http://www.reallusion.com/CustomerSupport/User/QForm.aspx Thanks.

Thanks for this, I was just pondering options how to use it... I read in another posting that iclone will not support mac in near future (quite ironic given the product name ) and that it only runs with bootcamp and windows. Would be so great if it also could be used like Animator, is it due to technical issues with graphics and such that it is not possible or is there hope for mac users?

One of the posts you reference is from 2008 so the situation is different now to what it was then. The other is from another forum user and not an official statement from Reallusion. To the best of my knowledge Mac support is still planned for future editions.
