There need to be training on this because as an e-Learning developer, it is quite difficult to follow the instructions without visually seeing an example. We purchased this product because of the transparency and the swf exporting to import in to Adobe Captivate 5.5. Now I learn there are restrictions and additional information on how to achieve what I need, but there isn't any good training. Anything would help like a training doc with screenshots or a quick video. You keep saying to edit using Adobe Premiere, but if someone doesn't know how to use such tools then the product is a waste of our time and resources. What's the difference between png sequence vs png format? How do I create images for png sequence? Photoshop or in CTA? It's confusing and that's why some instructions other than what's being presented need to be created.

Hi Pam,

I understand your point about training, but really the training isn't required for CrazyTalk Animator, but instead is needed for whichever video editor you may be using.

So for example, you would export your Sequence Image PNG files from CTA. But once you have exported them, you will need to take them into your chosen video editor for compiling.

If you have been using a video editor for some time, you will probably already know how to do this, but if not, a quick reference of the video editors manual or a tutorial should explain how to do this.

If you let me know which video editor you plan to use, I'll happily point you in the right direction. :)

Hi John

If you export as PNG Image Sequence your images will include the alpha channel (transparent background). Once export has finished you will have 100's if not 1000's of separate numbered images. These can then all be opened in most video editors and further exported into any format you like, including Flash. :)

Hope this helps. :)

Thank you for your reply.

Excuse my ignorance please but I do not understand the alpha channel part of your suggestions. I think I found the PNG Sequence under the Image tab but no mention of Alpha channel. Does this mean saving each frame or how does it work? It is confusing as I don't understand. To save as an image (PNG) confuses this poor old soul. Could please explain this? Many thanks. John.

You can save your Movie als png sequence with alphachannel and then convert to a swf with a external converter or Draw Program that supported export to a swf animation
I'm not sure but I think with drawPlus it is possible

Fo my exemple : I have a very old Program called Motionartist (2006 from fontier) . That exported my in CTA created png Image sequence to a swf file with transparency background.

hasi

But I personally prefer popVideo format and WidgetCast :)

I want to make little notifiers for use on my Desktop to announce new mail arriving. The only thing that is spoiling this is that I cannot make the files transparent. Most times there would be no need for a background. I would appreciate and help or suggestions. I was sure this would be easy to do in Crazy Talk Animator!;) Cheers anyone. John.
