Hi,

For some strange reason, everytime I run CrazyTalk 6 I get the following error message, Live Update Main Program has stopped working. This has happened after a couple weeks of use.

CrazyTalk runs fine after closing the Live Update window, anyone got any ideas why Live Update is failing to load?

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.

I am also getting the same problem, not just with Crazy Talk all my Reallusion Programmes iClone4 - 3dExchange  - Crazy Talk6pro  - Crazy Talk Animator    all doing the same Live Update issue.

There does indeed seem to a be a problem with LiveUpdate at the moment. LiveUpdate itself is not required to run any Reallusion software so it is safe to shut it down or not allow it to run.

The tech team will investigate the problem and as soon as I hear more I will update again.

I have noticed that there is no way of disabling the Live Update on executing CrazyTalk, is there a temporary fix that could disable the check such as a registry edit etc?

I would suggest giving the end user an option to disable the Live Update check on executing CrazyTalk or any other Reallusion software, the majority of software applications on the market give you this option.

Meanwhile, you can delete the following folder to avoid the problem :)

The LiveUpdate program is not required to run iClone, CrazyTalk or Animator...

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Reallusion\LiveUpdate

I have CT5 n CT6 for the a few years n had not come across this till a week ago after installing CTA.
If Live Update Main Program is not required in any of Reallusion's product - why is it included?

Just curious - also will it affect any future updates if I delete the file?

If you want , no delete file , save an another folder .
Update is available in download in your account , on the reallusion web site .
