Dear Character Creator Users,
We have now released Character Creator 4.5 update. However, as with all updates there may still be a few bugs, glitches or other annoying issues that remain.
Important: If you do find any bugs, issues or glitches in Character Creator 4.5, please can you report them first in the Feedback Tracker. Then feel free to discuss the issues in this thread but do try to include a link back to the original Feedback Tracker report or your tracker number.
As always it will help us greatly if we can keep all technical issues in the one place (this thread). This will help the development team keep track of any problems.
Please do try to provide your full system specifications and a detailed description of the problem when reporting issues and include screenshots and/or a workflow video whenever possible. If you can provide specific steps so we can try and reproduce the problem that will be even better.

Or at least I believe this is the same issue. I just updated to 4.5. Every time CC tries to sync the custom files, the program crashes. the only thing that I had changed was making a new subfolder to put a new custom hair in. My UI got lost and my rearranging of the UI will not be remembered after crash. I can not use my old custom files because every time I try to pull them up to use them, it tries to sync and crashes.

The morph creator also no longer works. It crashes as soon as you open it.

There is no mention about DLSS anywhere. I mean I googled and got an idea, but how exactly it works in CC/IC? Anyway, when you turn it ON and render, both IC and CC renders come with a floor grid (Final Render mode) and a ghost of the scene in the background. And if you enabled traditional SS, both CC/IC would crash to the desktop (suppose 2 types of SS cannot coexist). Is this an RL WIP which was accidentally released?

Hi, SapphireBlu This issue will be resolved in the next patch, which we hope to release next week. SapphireBlu (9/12/2024)

Hi. 4u2ges The DLSS function comes from NVIDIA. Could you please share the image that has the floor grid and ghost background? thanks, 4u2ges (9/13/2024)

Hi Luke, I have attached the video. It also causes a z-fight between meshes in close proximity set by Displacement map.

I've had the Problem for a week now that i couldn't load my custom hair without a program crash.
The problem is already known to customer support ans also you can see it in the Feedback Tracker.
Since yesterday, i can no longer acess my own content without both programs crashing.
If I can no longer acess my library, then IC8 and CC4 are unusable for me, because i really
enjoyed working with it.
I hope, you can help me soon.

Hi, gherie74Could you clarify what you mean by "no longer access" ? Does it mean that clicking on any content causes the app to crash? And could you please record a video of the operation? thanks, gherie74 (9/15/2024)

Any updates or fixes for this crashing issue with the custom content? I'm experiencing it too and I have projects I need to work on. If not, is it possible to roll back to an earlier version? Truthfully, I don't even recall updating the software to begin with.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
