Hey all... I'm new to jumping from CC4 to zBrush and wanted to ask: Is Face Tool capable of taking a selected CC4 (or 3+) model, bringing it into zBrush and resculpting the base mesh of the character, or is it only for editing existing imported CC4 morphs in zBrush... Or can it do both?
I'm looking to alter the character mesh in zBrush more than possible in CC4.
I have sculpted a version of what I want of the base mesh in zBrush, but those changes don't seem to export into CC4.I till get the base figure I exported.
I am saving the CC project and ztool after I have done my sculpting.
What am I missing? All help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

You use the GoZ-interface to send a CC basemesh to Zbrush and sculpt it to your liking. You don't start with a Zbrush sculpt.

Facetools is for creating facial morphs more easily.

Yes, that's what I've done. I exported a CC character intio zBrush using the Face tools plug-in, and brought it into zBrush. Then I sculpted over the base mesh in zBrush. So I guess Face Tools is only for editing he existing the imported facial morphs? If so, that's a bit disappointing, because I want to completely redesign characters and CC isn't generally giving me what I like. So if I wanted to make, let's say, a zombie where his upper lip is missing on the right side, I would have to sculpt that on each of the facial morphs separately? Not what I was hoping for. I was hoping the base mesh would alter, and carry through all the facial morphs like some other 3D programs do.
My wife is a great zBrush sculptor, and I wanted her to rework some of the model's features so we could move to match client approved designs.

You use the GoZ option, not Facetools.  Please check this demo video.

Facetools is for facial morphs. With GoZ you would need to modify the morphs individually, which is very time consuming. Facetools reduces the workload a lot.
