Hello iClone Community,
I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out to the community as I've been encountering a persistent issue with cloth stretching when I enable physics in iClone. I have diligently tried several solutions to address this problem, but unfortunately, the issue persists.
Here's a summary of the steps I've taken to troubleshoot the problem:
Adjusted Cloth Settings: Explored various parameters under the "Physics" tab in the "Modify" panel, including "Stretch Stiffness" and "Compression Stiffness" to control cloth flexibility.
Checked Collision Settings: Ensured that collision settings are properly configured to prevent cloth intersection with the character's body.
Refined Mesh and Weight Map: Verified the cloth mesh and weight map to ensure accuracy in representing cloth movement with the character's body.
Increased Cloth Resolution: Tried increasing the resolution of the cloth to see if it improves simulation results.
Adjusted Simulation Settings: Experimented with different simulation settings such as gravity, wind, and damping to find a balance that minimizes stretching.
Used Cloth Layer: Employed the Cloth Layer feature to isolate physics simulation to specific parts of the character's attire.
Checked Character Rigging: Ensured that the character's rigging is well-done, as flawed rigging may contribute to unexpected stretching.
Updated Software: Confirmed that I am using the latest version of iClone, ruling out potential issues addressed in software updates.
Despite these efforts, the cloth stretching issue persists. To provide a clearer understanding of the problem, I have attached a video demonstrating the issue.
