Hello iClone Community,

I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out to the community as I've been encountering a persistent issue with cloth stretching when I enable physics in iClone. I have diligently tried several solutions to address this problem, but unfortunately, the issue persists.
Here's a summary of the steps I've taken to troubleshoot the problem:
Adjusted Cloth Settings: Explored various parameters under the "Physics" tab in the "Modify" panel, including "Stretch Stiffness" and "Compression Stiffness" to control cloth flexibility.
Checked Collision Settings: Ensured that collision settings are properly configured to prevent cloth intersection with the character's body.
Refined Mesh and Weight Map: Verified the cloth mesh and weight map to ensure accuracy in representing cloth movement with the character's body.
Increased Cloth Resolution: Tried increasing the resolution of the cloth to see if it improves simulation results.
Adjusted Simulation Settings: Experimented with different simulation settings such as gravity, wind, and damping to find a balance that minimizes stretching.
Used Cloth Layer: Employed the Cloth Layer feature to isolate physics simulation to specific parts of the character's attire.
Checked Character Rigging: Ensured that the character's rigging is well-done, as flawed rigging may contribute to unexpected stretching.
Updated Software: Confirmed that I am using the latest version of iClone, ruling out potential issues addressed in software updates.
Despite these efforts, the cloth stretching issue persists. To provide a clearer understanding of the problem, I have attached a video demonstrating the issue.

I would greatly appreciate any insights, suggestions, or experiences the community may have in resolving similar cloth simulation issues in iClone. Your expertise and assistance would be invaluable in helping me overcome this challenge.

Thank you in advance for your time and support.

Best regards,

Looks like a "Collision" issue to me. As you say... you have adjusted the Collision settings. I would keep experimenting with those settings ( collision-margin settings and the position of the bone itself) and of course playback in the "By Frame" mode.

You posted in iClone forum but showing simulation in CC.

Never simulate in CC and expect perfect results.
Reason being is, that physics has to settle before motion applied and every simulation (specially for long garments with a lot of collisions)
must start with T-pose for at least for 1-2 seconds and then another second to blend with respective motion.
You can only achieve that in iClone.

I could show you my settings, collision, topology, UV vs weight map (material for bottom) for a long dress and the way I simulate for nearly perfect result in iClone.
