Hello,

I just got CC4 and I'm wanting to import an FBX accessory with multiple textures, but when it comes into CC4 it's uv's get tweeked/combined/erased, so the embedded textures can no longer be applied to the object. The object has multiple material ID's, each with it's own set of UV's and a separate material applied: Picture a T-shirt split down the middle with all the polygons on the right assigned to material A and all the polygons on the left assigned to material B (my screen shot shows a ball, but it's the same idea)

If I import this to Blender or Max, the UV data is intact, but

When it's imported to CC4 it shows up white, and with only a single material applied, and a single set of uv's (as far as I can tell, but I have not figured out how to unwrap in CC4)

Since the UV mapping gets wiped out on import, I'm wondering if I can just completely re-map and re-texture it in CC4? Is it possible to uv map an accessory in CC4 with two materials, each with it's own set of uvs?

Thanks much for any info

Hi...

Without seeing the accessory it's difficult to say exactly what the problem is. However, normally you should be able to apply the materials manually in CC4 if they don't come in automatically.

Please see the online manual page below which explains more about the importing accessory.

Thank you for the response - In this screen shot you can see in CC4 that only a single material (with no name) exists - How would I add a second and third material to this object in CC4?75% of original size (was 667x19) - Click to enlargehttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/3b2898d2-c2c9-4d95-9072-0c55.jpg

I was able to work around this issue by running the exported FBX through Blender before importing to CC4. Its an extra step, but it's a lot better then being stuck - Thanks again for help
