Fixed:
  • AccuFACE and MotionLIVE failed to connect due to connection to an IPv6 address, instead of IPv4.
  • In the presence of two ethernet cards, AccuFACE will mistake the workstation as two separate entities. When this happens, the audio from AccuFACE will fail to stream to iClone with the appearance of an error message.

  • Please follow the steps to download the hotfix for fixing the issues:

    For AccuFACE:
    1. Download and unzip this file:
    https://cdn4.reallusion.com/Maxine-Realtime-for-iClone_20231107.2.zip
    2. Run AccuFACE.exe from the unzipped folder.

    For AccuFACE profile:
    1. Download this accuface.pyd file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DYAV_3vbBY_4ZxqsJU4-_xUTlklJXN_k/view?usp=sharing
    2. Go to your iClone Motion LIVE profile installed folder (eg. C:\Program Files\Reallusion\iClone 8\Bin64\OpenPlugin\MotionLIVE\script\module).
    3. Use the downloaded accuface.pyd
file to replace the original one that was installed.

In that case, why not make it possible to select the correct IP address among the IPs displayed by the machine, in order to avoid virtual machine users from having an incorrect IP address selected by default.
Can Reallusion also explain in which case, if the correct IP address is selected, there can be a connection refusal? (Which environment allows for a connection?)

The hotfix is to correct an issue where the AccuFace window will display the IP address in IPv6 while Motion Live needs an IPv4 address. Not everyone will encounter this issue but if you do just install the hotfix. Once the hotfix is applied your AccuFace window will display the correct IPv4 address which just needs to be entered in the Motion Live window if it doesn't appear automatically. This is all explained in the Getting Started tutorial below.

You are absolutely right in discussing the solution for those who have enabled IPv6. But what about those who have virtual machines installed on their machines (I have installed two myself), and when launching Accuface, it attaches to the virtual machine's virtual address? This is what justifies my suggestion in this regard, instead of seeking a solution for each individual case, to have the possibility to select one of the machine's addresses from a list. Accuface can scan all the addresses and list them. Also, provide the option to enter "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" as the address for a local installation.

Secondly, there is also the case where the IP address and port are correct, but the connection does not go through. This is why I'm asking under which conditions will Accuface work properly?

Someone gave also précisions on this at this link :

Hi... Using virtual machines is not recommended or supported with iClone unfortunately. This has always been the case and is especially problematic when using plug-ins like AccuFACE and Live Face.

You said, "Please follow the steps to download the hotfix for fixing the issues:   After both download zips files fixes are run, can we delete all the zips and files or must we run Accuface from the new folder now?

Hi, the hotfix issues were fixed last month. Kindly update your AccuFACE to the latest version directly from Reallusion Hub.
