You are absolutely right in discussing the solution for those who have enabled IPv6. But what about those who have virtual machines installed on their machines (I have installed two myself), and when launching Accuface, it attaches to the virtual machine's virtual address? This is what justifies my suggestion in this regard, instead of seeking a solution for each individual case, to have the possibility to select one of the machine's addresses from a list. Accuface can scan all the addresses and list them. Also, provide the option to enter "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" as the address for a local installation.
Secondly, there is also the case where the IP address and port are correct, but the connection does not go through. This is why I'm asking under which conditions will Accuface work properly?
