Hi I am trying to create a night time scene in snow with a camp fire. Firstly I have tried turning all my lights off  and even  deleting them to try and get started in the dark but i seem to be still getting light from some where. How can i solve this.
secondly i lit the fire and put a spot light in it and wanted to get some effective shadows from characters in the snow but no luck. Any one point me in the right direction please. A youtube tutorial would be great.
