Hi I am trying to create a night time scene in snow with a camp fire. Firstly I have tried turning all my lights off and even deleting them to try and get started in the dark but i seem to be still getting light from some where. How can i solve this.
secondly i lit the fire and put a spot light in it and wanted to get some effective shadows from characters in the snow but no luck. Any one point me in the right direction please. A youtube tutorial would be great.

It is likely your IBL settings which can be found in the visual tab under atmosphere. Turn that off and see if you get what your looking for.
