Hi all!

Posting here on the forums for the first time.

This is an edited clip created entirely in Unreal Engine (at the time 4.25-4.26) and with CC3 and iClone 7. Currently I'm rebuilding this scene in UE5 along with creating others based on the script.

Continued thanks to all the help, advice, and support posted on these forums!

Best,

Robert

Very cool. What was your workflow? Did you animate in iclone?

Very intriguing. Good set design and mysterious vibe.

Hi there!

Yes, I animated this character in iClone (v7 at the time).  She was also built and created in Character Creator 3, including adding the mechanical arm -- a great asset from SketchFab (I think?) that I modified a bit in Substance.  I think most of us Reallusion creators will recognize the character's coat too  -- that was also given some wear and tear in Substance.  And her hair was done in Maya Xgen (as best I could :)

I initially tried working with the Rokoko mocap suit (Smartsuit v1), but unfortunately I could not get it to work in my space and was getting less than desirable results.  But for this particular animation, I did get a decent working foundation and then cleaned up and modified as best I could in iClone.

The landscape is indeed using some RVT and Ultra Dynamic Sky/Weather is really helping!  The final look, for this demo, is also accentuated by a film look filter I have in Premiere (and now in Resolve) -- it gives me some grain and I do soften the rendered image a bit to take away those Unreal "hard edges," and just to give me the look I feel is right for this piece.

This was all rendered out using a 2080ti on a mid-range system, so I really couldn't render all shots out at full UHD (think I was using 2880x1620 to get as close as possible).  I believe I was using Ray Tracing and GPU lightmass for these shots. Of course, now testing with UE5, Lumen, etc, but definitely need to step up to a better GPU!

This looks fantastic! Great job! I keep seeing such great stuff in Unreal, but haven't really had enough time to really stop and explore it, but I think I'm gonna have to!
