Thanks Peter, the support department has helped me fix the issue. I needed to clear some Temp directories in windows and now it works. Thanks.

Unfortunately, it appears that you have additional issues with CC4 that can't be fixed with the current hotfix.

In this case, please contact Technical Support who will try to help you resolve the problems you are having. Please make sure to supply detailed system information (dxdiag.txt) so Support can check for any obvious problems, such as driver issues.

Just to clarify about my previous post regarding re-installing everything and it still not working and having no content now, I am not furious about it or anything, these things happen.

But, some sort of new version release is needed to fix the issue asap is what I was getting at., as I’m completely stuck. I’ve purchased new content in the Black Friday sale and can’t download it, or even any other pack now.

This is just Irresponsible on Reallusion part I am sorry you are going through this. They should have put out videos about how the hot fix worked and sent out emails to everyone who is affected . All i have to say is please test your updates going forward before you release them. This poor guy had to re-install everything just to find out it did not work. Reallusion needs to go back to a manuel install to where you choose the correct path for content to be found. You cant do that because if you could it would not be a problem . Why did reallusion take that away and gave us the unreliable smart content manager?  When using the installers back in 7 it would ask you where you want your content but you cant do that now. It dose it for you and dose a really bad job. Please fix this Reallusion. We need an update sooon!

So I ran the restore database file you suggested, which produced the following screen.




CC4 still producing same errors afterwards.

At this point, I uninstalled iclone 8 and CC4 completely, and all the plugins. Did a registry clean and rebooted. Then I reinstalled all from scratch from Hub.

After this I tried to download the base characters and a couple of the skin packs. It crashed during install.

So now I’m left with 2 applications that I’ve invested a lot of money in, and zero content to use in either as I can’t download any without it crashing.

Well the instructions for the hot fix are to run 2 batch files so you can’t really get that wrong can you? When I do run them, nothing appears to be happening unless it’s so quick I didn’t see it. I assume it’s replacing just a few files.

I will try the smart content reset.
