I was downloading and installing iC8 and CC4 when I noticed that the form I was filling in specified the Desktop name. Now I am changing to another desktop - upgrading - in a couple of weeks. Will this change invalidate the licence? Can I move the program suites across? Can I download another copy of each? SeanMac

You can uninstall the program from your old computer and install it on your new computer. You can also install a copy on your laptop, but you cannot run it at the same time.

Hi yepko, thanks. If I install a copy do I download it afresh?

You can install 1 copy. However, you cannot run programs at the same time. But if the versions are different, you can run them on different computers at the same time. For example, you can run ic7 on one computer and ic8 on the other.

WE are getting crossed wires. If I download and install on my current machine, then cannibalise it whilst building another, ca I download and install on the new machine without getting caught up in license violations?

HUB 2 can be online on the computer. I don't think there will be an error while installing. You can install on your new computer while the program is closed on your other computer. Then you can run the program on the computer you want to work on. I have never tried it, but when you run the program on 2 computers at the same time, it probably gives a warning or it may be closing. On this matter Peter or someone who has tried it might be able to give a more precise answer. I don't think there will be any problems as long as the computers are yours. I just interpreted it the way I read it in the EULA. I found a thread about this that Peter replied to a few days ago.https://forum.reallusion.com/523730/Install-on-multiple-devices-at-once

OK Thanks I'll give it a try. I will not be able to run the program on two computers because the old one will be taken apart. As for the laptop, it would be some laptop to run these advanced graphic RTX card programs. OK - I'll sign off. Thanks for the help.

Just make sure that while you uninstall from your old computer that it is connected to the internet. This will free up one install.

It's something I've always meant to ask about and clarify but I've done this a couple of times now, always uninstalling with the Hub first on the assumption that the Hub keeps track of the number of installs currently in play. In any event, I'm on my third major hardware update with no licensing issues.
