[ RESOLVED ]

Hi,

I'm new to Reallusion and hope someone can help me. Greatly appreciate it.

I plan to purchase the Character Creator 4 Digital Human Essential Bundles $600.

Before proceeding, I would like to know the estimated file size for that entire bundle.

Support Notes: 200 GB free hard disk space for DDS cache.

Main O/S SSD Drive C:\
. 500 GB SSD C:\drive -- currently I have 300 GB remaining.
I do not want to leave less then 125 GB renaming. This drive is usually for Windows 10, drivers and updates.

Where will the Reallusion 200 to 500 GB DDS cache be located by default, and can I change that location?

Libraries, Plugins, Addons, Documents SSD Drive D:\
. I prefer to install larger file content libraries, scenes and high resolution library materials on my 1TB SSD D:\drive -- currently I have 900 GB remaining. I prefer to not have my SSD's filled beyond 75 percent capacity.

I hope the above install paths, options are possible and that I have enough space?

DDS Cache - found this useful information here:

Greatly appreciate assistance. Thanks.

During install you can select the location of where to content is going to be installed. I've always used a second drive because of the size of the content increases over time as you add more items.

A 1 TB drive is good for starters, but you may at some point want to go to a larger drive, which is easy if the drive only contains content.

I didn't know about the DDS cache, but it looks like you can set its folder location. CC also uses a temp folder for crash recovery, which can also be set. Both can be changed in the application and they could be located on your D: drive.

The required size is a bit hard to determine, but based on my own installation (which has additional content), I would say less than 100 GB. If you were to add iClone 8, it would be more obviously.

Thanks animagic,

That is comfort knowing I should have enough space and have various good options.

I will definitely add another SSD later when I get iClone.

Greatly appreciate your response.
